<p><strong>ABOUT THE POSITION</strong><br> <br> Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Ltd is in the process of building its capacity to deliver technology in support of schools and catholic education into the future. A significant investment is being made in the <strong><em>Integrated Catholic Online Network</em></strong> (ICON) project, a collaborative project between Victorian Catholic schools and the four Victorian Catholic Education Offices in the Archdiocese of Melbourne and the Dioceses of Ballarat, Sale and Sandhurst.<br> <br> ICON will build on the Catholic tradition of working together to improve all schools by facilitating collaboration and pooling of resources and strategies to improve student learning across Victorian Catholic education to capitalise on and enhance the collective wisdom of Catholic educators and administrators. A core ICON strategy is to implement enterprise Student Information System (eSIS), enterprise Finance (eFIN) system and enterprise HR/Payroll (eHR) systems for 490 Victorian Catholic schools and offices (aka eAdmin solution).<br> <br> The Functional Specialist (eSIS) will be involved in the planning, design and oversight of the construction and support of the eAdmin solution. You will have an understanding of business needs and are able to provide advice on how to best leverage the solution capabilities. Specifically, you will have experience with:</p> <ul> <li>Applications used within the education sector for student administration ideally Synergetic with SQL server, timetabling, reporting</li> <li>Providing responsive and timely actions on level 2 issues</li> <li>Setting priorities and managing both support and project tasks</li> <li>Assist in SQL database queries</li> <li>System and functional testing in an integrated environment</li> <li>Collaborating with service management, and technical services teams</li> </ul> <p>As well as exposure to:</p> <ul> <li>Atlassian - Jira</li> <li>ALM v15</li> <li>Agile methodology</li> </ul> <p>The successful applicant will possess suitable qualifications, skills and experience as outlined in the <a href="https://cem.elmotalent.com.au/uploads/cem/files/PD-Functional_Specialist_eSIS-APRIL2021.pdf">position description</a> which includes tertiary qualifications in IT or related areas, signification experience in IT customer service, ITIL, as well as high level coordination skills and an ability to work well in a team environment.
