We are now seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic, and experienced Librarian to be a guiding light in our new library journey.<br> <br> As our librarian, your role is not confined to just managing books - it's about fostering a love of literature, nurturing curiosity, promoting digital literacy, and bringing together a community of lifelong learners. You will be the torchbearer of a library experience that will change and shape our students' lives.<br> <br> <br> <br> <strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong><br> <br> Develop a nurturing and engaging library environment that encourages curiosity, learning, and discovery.<br> <br> Catalogue, manage, and maintain the library's print and digital resources.<br> <br> Promote the library's resources to students, staff, and parents, and assist users in sourcing relevant information.<br> <br> Collaborate with teaching staff to develop programs that enhance student literacy and research skills.<br> <br> Implement innovative library programs and services, including digital and e-resources.<br> <br> Organise events, book clubs, author visits, and other enrichment activities.<br> <br> <strong>Required Qualifications and Experience:</strong><br> <br> · Bachelor's degree in Library Science, Information Science, or a related field.<br> <br> · Current Working with Children Check.<br> <br> · Proven experience in a school library environment.<br> <br> · Expert knowledge of literature suitable for various age groups.<br> <br> · Proficiency in using library software or other related digital tools.<br> <br> · Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.<br> <br> · Ability to inspire and engage young minds.<br> <br> <strong>Why Join Us?</strong><br> <br> In addition to joining a vibrant and supportive community, this is an opportunity to truly make a difference and influence the future of learning in our school.
