The College seeks an experienced and qualified Director of Teaching and Learning to join the College Executive, responsible for the development and implementation of a dynamic, engaging, diverse and compliant curriculum that is delivered using best pedagogical practice.

<p><b>ABOUT US </b></p><p>Emmanuel Anglican College, Ballina provides an innovative and dynamic learning environment for students in Pre-school to Year 12 and is highly regarded as a centre of academic and pastoral excellence in the Ballina Shire and Northern Rivers Region. </p><p><b>Position Overview </b></p><p><b> </b></p><p>The Director of Teaching and Learning is a member of the College Executive and is responsible for the development and implementation of a dynamic, engaging, diverse and compliant curriculum that is delivered using best pedagogical practice.</p><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p><p>The following responsibilities are not exhaustive but are indicative of the scope and nature of the role.</p><ul><li>Lead the design, development, implementation and evaluation of curriculum that reflects the Towards 2030 Strategic Plan</li><li>Promote a high quality, innovative, effective and compliant curriculum that meets the needs of all learners</li><li>Lead a teaching and learning culture that is engaging, innovative, evidence based and student centred that reflects best practice in terms of pedagogy</li><li>Promoting quality teaching and learning through the identification and support of individual learning needs of students</li><li>Lead and manage the development and implementation of the College timetable</li><li>Ensure effective and appropriate practice in relation to student assessment and reporting</li></ul><p><i><b>Essential Criteria: </b></i></p><ul><li>Capacity and desire to contribute to the ethos and strategic intent of Emmanuel Anglican College. </li><li>Capacity to lead the design, development, implementation and evaluation of a curriculum that reflects the Towards 2030 Strategic Plan and our Holistic Integrated Learning Model. </li><li>Passionate and experienced educator with an understanding of how students learn and the ability to lead an innovative, engaging and meaningful curriculum that links learning with integrated real world learning opportunities and meets the needs of all learners. </li><li>Extensive knowledge of all NESA curriculum requirements that relate to curriculum delivery and school Registration and Accreditation processes. </li><li>Demonstrated depth of knowledge of pedagogy and contemporary educational practice and how they can support learners from Kindergarten to Year 12. </li><li>Highly developed capacity to effectively lead a team and to promote professional growth and school improvement. </li><li>Capacity to manage the timetable development process including subject selection, timetable creation and staff load development. </li><li>Current NSW Teacher Accreditation and Working With Children Clearance.</li></ul><p>A full position description is available on the College website www.eac.nsw.edu.au/about-us/employment.</p><p><b>How To Apply:</b></p><p> </p><p>Please provide a cover letter outlining your experience and suitability for the role addressing the key responsibilities, knowledge, skills and qualifications outlined in the Position Description.<br /></p><p>The Essential Criteria forms a specific part of the selection process.
