<p>As part of St Patrick’s College’s overall commitment to the education of every child, we have developed a strong Diverse Learning Team that provides a range of interventions in both the junior and senior years. </p><p><b>3-year (1.0 point Leadership) promotional appointment (2023 - 2025) &#43; full time permanent teaching position - commence Term 2 2023 (by negotiation). </b></p><p>Reporting to the Head of Diverse Learning (Years 5-12), the Gifted Education Coordinator (Years 7-12) promotes the College and EREA ethos by working to cater to a diverse range of students who are gifted and/or high potential learners. You will be an exceptional communicator, able to work collaboratively with the Director of Learning &amp; Innovation, Director of Curriculum, Head of Diverse Learning (5-12) and with the secondary school class teachers in the planning for and delivering of well-balanced programs, making suitable adjustments for students with learning enrichment needs. </p><p>You will use your outstanding classroom teaching skills and capacity to model high impact classroom teaching strategies and lead colleagues to improve their teaching and learning to enable all students to achieve their full potential. The emphasis for this position is in developing teacher confidence and capacity to plan for and support approaches to differentiation and develop appropriate effective strategies and resources, to engage, challenge and support high potential and gifted learners. </p><p>The key responsibilities for this position are: </p><ul><li>Overseeing the identification of high potential and gifted learners </li><li>Collaborating with junior school enrichment specialists and other members of the Diverse Learning team, as part of a holistic approach to supporting high potential and gifted learners </li><li>Overseeing and evaluating learning enrichment programs and events </li><li>Liaising with parents/carers on effectiveness of learning enrichment programs and student progress </li><li>Analysis of multiple sources of data to evaluate and monitor student performance and program outcomes </li></ul><p>As the Gifted Education Coordinator, you will have your own teaching allocation with a 5-point time release. You will be committed to the achievement of excellence, a strong collaborator and confident in using effective pedagogy and classroom management.
