King George V School is looking for a Teacher of Mathematics to join the community this August 2023. Successful candidate strategically plans and delivers lessons that develop students' theoretical and applied mathematical skills.

The position is a teaching position with an additional TLR3 Head of IGCSE Mathematics role.</p><p><br /></p><p><b>Requirements:</b></p><ul><li>Bachelor&#39;s Degree in the field of Mathematics plus a recognised Postgraduate teaching qualification, or equivalent;</li><li>Teaching experience within a recognised educational organisation;</li><li>Teaching experience and capacity in mathematics in IB MYP, (I)GCSE and IB DP is preferable, and ability and willingness to teach IB DP Higher Level mathematics would be an advantage;</li><li>Experience and ability to use data on student learning to modify curriculum, teaching and assessment provision;</li><li>Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills and ability to form positive relationships with students, staff and parents;</li><li>Proficiency and experience in writing and maintaining Schemes of Work, including writing tests and coordinating moderation of assessment of student work;</li><li>Monitor learning progress through interaction with the school data plan and ensure interventions are being implemented at the faculty and classroom level;</li><li>Ability to orchestrate the work of the Mathematics Department’s Professional Learning Teams and to ensure collaboration is focused on improving student learning;</li><li>Collaborate with SLT at specific occasions across the year to impact whole school strategic direction and improvement;</li><li>Report to the TLR1 Mathematics postholder, and collaborate directly with the wider Mathematics Department postholder team, contributing to Mathematics Faculty based operations such as: timetabling, rooming, assessment schedules, communications, collaboration time arrangements, internal supervision arrangements, and CPD opportunities;</li><li>Ability to lead or support extra-curricular activities as part of the whole-school CAS programme, and attend school functions as a representative of the school leadership team.</li></ul><p><i><br /></i></p><p><b>Kindly view <a href="https://www.esf.edu.hk/terms-and-conditions/" rel="nofollow">ESF&#39;s Terms &amp; Conditions</a> to learn more about the compensation package.</b></p><p><i><br /></i></p><p><i>ESF is an Equal Opportunities Employer</i></p><p><i>The English Schools Foundation (ESF) is fully committed to providing equal employment opportunity.
