<p>Learning Support Officer position - 9:00 to 3:30 pm<br />This position is for 2023</p><p><br />Applications are invited from Learning Support Officers of EXCELLENCE who are committed to:<br />* Nurturing a faith community within a Catholic context that reflects on the past, prepares for the future and lives fully in the present to enliven both the Gospel and the wider community.<br />* Maintaining a child safe environment in which students feel safe, empowered and listened to.<br />* Supporting students with learning needs in a developmentally appropriate manner that promotes personalised learning in a contemporary context.<br />* Honouring the affinities and interests of the learner.<br />* Understanding the content of learning activities that engage students in learning.<br />* Developing meaningful and committed relationships with students, staff and the wider school community.<br />* Encouraging students to develop the skills to be self-responsible learners.<br /><br /></p><p>The successful applicant will:<br />* Be commitment to Child safety and the Child Safety Standards (Ministerial Order 1359)<br />* Need a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) and National Police Check<br />* A Certificate in Education Support is preferred (but not required).<br /><br /></p><p>Please provide a cover letter, Curriculum Vitae (including the details of 3 references) and application for employment form (available on our school website: www.saballarat.catholic.edu.au). <br />Applicants also need to include a response to the selection criteria listed below:<br /></p><p>* Demonstrate proven ability to support students with specific learning needs including challenging behaviours;<br />* Demonstrate high level understandings and strategies when supporting children with a range of learning needs;<br />* Demonstrate capacity to work collaboratively within a team environment;<br />* Demonstrate proven ability to support/deliver learning programmes and Individualised Learning plans (ILPs), as communicated by the classroom teacher.<br /><br /></p><p>Any enquiries and/or applications should be addressed to Jaci Commons (Deputy Principal) and send via email to: jcommons&#64;saballarat.catholic.edu.au by 4pm on Friday 17th February.  </p>
