<p>LaSalle Catholic College Bankstown invites applications from Learning Support Officers (LSO) to join our staff.<br /></p><p> </p><p><b>The Role</b><br /></p><p>The role of the Learning Support Officer is to assist and support teachers in delivering learning outcomes to students within a supportive and inclusive setting. The Learning Support Officer role works closely with the classroom teacher and is supported by the Diverse Learning Needs Coordinator. </p><p> </p><p><b>Primary Duties:</b><br /></p><ul><li>Working with students in VET subjects in our Saint Yon Trade Training Centre</li><li>Provide in-class learning support for identified students with diverse learning needs </li><li>Provide small group withdrawal support for identified students, under the direction of the Diverse Learning Coordinator and classroom teachers. </li><li>Carry out a wide variety of tasks associated with classroom learning experiences (e.g. assisting teachers in preparing, implementing and supervising learning programs, activities and tasks). </li><li>Assist with administrative duties including maintaining records, photocopying and data entry </li></ul><p><b>Essential Criteria </b></p><ul><li>Demonstrated commitment to the ethos of Catholic Education </li><li>Well developed communication and interpersonal skills </li><li>An ability to work collaboratively within a team. </li></ul><p><b>Desirable Criteria: </b></p><ul><li>Previous experience working with students with diverse learning needs </li><li>Relevant qualifications (e.g. Certificate III in Education Support) </li></ul><p>Applicants should be committed to the Catholic Mission of the College.   </p><p>Sydney Catholic Schools is committed to ensuring the safety of our staff, students and school communities.
