St Peter’s is a Catholic Primary School located in Epping. An ongoing teaching position FTE 0.4 starting Term 2 2023. We have dynamic teaching teams who are eager to ensure students reach their full potential. We are committed to increasing student participation and engagement in STEM and we are looking for the right teacher. The 2023 role will be teaching STEM on Tuesday & Wednesday.

<p>St Peter’s is a dynamic Catholic Primary School located in Epping. </p><p>We are looking for a teacher to be part of our Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths Team and teach STEM lessons on Tuesday and Wednesday. </p><p>There may also be an option for a teaching position on a Thursday if the successful applicant is interested. </p><p>The school is embracing a new chapter of learning focused on empowering teacher capacity to improve student growth. All teachers work with a Literacy and Numeracy Lead Teacher. We have supportive teaching teams who are eager to ensure students reach their full potential. We have two excellent Teaching and Learning Leaders. One T&amp;L Leader is highly respected in STEM education and works to embed STEM in all areas of the curriculum. Our second T&amp;L Leader is driving our 2023 Year of the Mathematician vision. Empowering teachers strengthens their teaching capacity in mathematics and as a result grow and challenge our students. </p><p>St Peter&#39;s prides itself on ensuring each child is supported and challenged in their learning. Small class sizes ensure teachers build positive relationships with students and staff are supported to differentiate student learning driven by data. In 2023 we will have an enrollment of 350 students. </p><p>Our community is committed to the safety, wellbeing and protection of all children in our care. </p><p>Experienced and or graduate teachers are welcome to apply. </p><p>We have an excellent graduate support program for new teachers and we support their VIT journey. </p><p>All graduates will receive a classroom teacher and lead teacher mentor. </p><p>Experienced teachers are encouraged to be part of a mentor / coaching process. </p><p>The successful applicant will need to: </p><p>Demonstrate a commitment to the values and ethos of a Catholic School. </p><p>Work collaboratively as part of a team within a contemporary learning environment. </p><p>Foster and develop appropriate professional relationships with students, staff and parents. </p><p>Be open to feedback and view themselves as a lifelong learner. </p><p>Have a sound knowledge of contemporary learning, with a particular emphasis on the Victorian Curriculum through an Inquiry approach. </p><p>Have an understanding of assessment and reporting strategies. </p><p>Requirements: </p><p>Hold a current VIT Registration or working towards registration (Graduate) </p><p>Accreditation to teach Religious Education (or willing to gain Accreditation) </p><p>The expectations and responsibilities of both Class and Specialist Teachers at St Peter’s Primary School Epping are as follows: </p><p>Promote and support the Catholic identity and ethos of the school </p><p>Provide and promote a happy, safe and positive learning environment </p><p>Cater for children’s individual needs and differences and maintain records for NCCD and teach to the point of learning need </p><p>Provide interesting and stimulating classrooms </p><p>Deliver the relevant curriculum in accordance with school policies and whole school shared beliefs and understandings </p><p>Ensure adequate planning and preparation in delivery the curriculum </p><p>Liaise with curriculum leaders, teachers and LSOs to enrich student learning opportunities </p><p>Maintain professional expectations as outlined in the staff handbook. </p><p>Work in partnership with parents through open and professional communication </p><p>Adhere to the schools Wellbeing and Behaviour Management policies and procedures </p><p>Maintain records of students’ progress based on continuous assessment and evaluation in accordance with school policies </p><p>Participate in regular professional learning activities that are aligned with the Schools Improvement Plan </p><p>Adhere to St Peter’s, Epping Child Safety Policy and Code of Conduct and other policies relevant to Ministerial Order 1359 </p><p><br /></p><p> </p>
