<div><b>St Mary&#39;s School is an integral part of the faith community of Geelong and is one of four parish primary schools. MACS is the employer of employees at St Mary&#39;s School.</b></div><div><b><br /></b></div><div><b>We are seeking a passionate, highly skilled language expert who will embrace the school&#39;s vision for language learning - teachers as co-learners. This part-time fixed-term position commences on Friday January 27th, 2023 and concluding on Sunday January 28th, 2024.</b></div><div><b><br /></b></div><div><b>Applications are invited from highly motivated, fluent Italian speakers, to support classroom educators in the implementation of our daily language program and assist in creating resources to support its implementation.</b></div><div><b><br /></b></div><div><b>The time fraction is negotiable up to 30 hours a week, with 2.75 hours per day for scheduled facilitation of Italian in all classes from Foundation to Year 6. Scheduled class time is 9:30am to 1:15pm, Monday to Friday. </b></div><div><b><br /></b></div><div><b>The remaining negotiated time fraction, if desired, will be as a Learning Support Officer supporting classroom practice. </b></div><div><b><br /></b></div><div>These successful applicants will have;<br /></div><p> </p><ul><li>a strong commitment to Catholic education and the ethos of Catholic schools</li><li>a fluency in the Italian language </li><li>a commitment to adopting the school&#39;s approach to language learning</li><li>the skills and knowledge to teach students and school staff Italian</li><li>a sound understanding of the Child Safe Standards and a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of all children and have a current Working with Children&#39;s Check </li><li>the appropriate skills and abilities necessary to assist classroom teachers to provide students with rich and rewarding Italian language experiences, catering for individual needs in a supportive, open learning environment </li><li>the ability to work and plan collaboratively and contribute to the ongoing professional learning of the school community </li><li>an enthusiasm for sharing of our school&#39;s practice; facilitating Italian lessons for visitors and school tours <br /></li><li>strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain partnerships and enhance the welcoming atmosphere of the school and parish </li><li>full availability for each school term in 2023 </li></ul><p>MACS and St Mary&#39;s School promotes the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all children. All employees will be required to have a sound understanding of the Child Safe Standards and a commitment to the safety and wellbeing and inclusion of all children.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Salary will be in accordance with the Victorian Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement and available at <a href="" rel="nofollow"></a><a href="" rel="nofollow"></a>.
