We are looking for an applicant for a dual role supporting students in achieving their learning goals and as a library technician for an immediate start by negotiation. This position is from Monday to Friday during school hours (8.30am - 3pm) consisting of 3.5 hours per day in class and 1.5 hours per day in the Library.

<p>St Brigid&#39;s Catholic Primary School in Healesville, Victoria are seeking a suitably qualified and enthusiastic Learning Support Officer/Library Technician to join our vibrant school community. The main duties include -</p><ul><li>to work with individual or small groups of children under the direction of the classroom teacher and Learning Diversity Leader,</li><li>to maintain the school resource collection and co-ordinate purchase of new materials to support student learning,</li><li>to ensure the library collection is stored appropriately,</li><li>to monitor loans and issue overdue notices to families, and</li><li>to prepare visual displays that connect with current classroom learning for the school library and maintain the space as an engaging learning environment.</li></ul><p><b><u>ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA </u></b></p><ul><li>A commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church. </li><li>Experience in administration and general office processes and procedures. </li><li>Proficiency in MS Office and Google suite of applications. </li><li>Ability to process data in a variety of forms and produce reports. </li><li>Effective organisational skills with demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail. </li><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality </li></ul><p><b><u>The following GENERAL CAPABILITIES are applicable to the role: </u></b></p><ul><li>Well-developed interpersonal skills. </li><li>Excellent written and oral communication skills. </li><li>Ability to relate effectively with parents/carers, staff and students. </li><li>Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment</li><li>Capacity to work with students of diverse needs  </li></ul><p><b><u>EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS </u></b></p><ul><li>Current First Aid Certificate is preferred</li><li>WORKING WITH CHILDREN CHECK</li></ul><p>This role is classified as a child related work and therefore a working with children clearance is required prior to your commencement with us.</p><p>Tess Dwyer</p><p>principal&#64;sbhealesville.catholic.edu.au</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p>
