(Term 1 2023 - Friday, 15th December 2023) </b></p><p><b>About the Role: </b></p><p>The Mathematics Teacher is accountable to the Head of Senior School.  They support the strategic directions of Bellfield Colleges STEM vision through the management of effective teaching and learning programs, fostering an inclusive, innovative and challenging learning environment.</p><p><b>Key responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>Experienced and innovative in teaching Mathematics Stage 4 - Stage 6.</li><li>Maintain a positive and effective learning environment through well prepared and varied lessons, which cater to the range of student abilities and interests.</li><li>Set realistic and challenging academic standards of student performance.</li><li>Provide prompt and comprehensive attention to student work submitted for marking and supervision.</li><li>Demonstrate knowledge, competence and confidence in the relevant subject discipline.</li><li>Use a range of teaching strategies to deliver quality teaching programs that are responsive to the learning strengths and needs of students</li><li>Use effective verbal and non-verbal communication strategies to support student understanding, engagement and achievement</li><li>Develop, select and use informal and formal, diagnostic, formative and summative assessment strategies to assess student learning</li><li>Have an understanding of and commitment to the ethos of the School</li></ul><p><i>This role is classified as child-related work and therefore requires a WWCC clearance prior to commencement of employment. </i></p><p><b>What next? </b></p><p>If you’d like to express interest, send through a full resume and covering letter addressing your interest and suitability to the role directly to Ms Mouina Ramadan, the Head of Senior School via email: mouina.ramadan&#64;bellfield.nsw.edu.au and Amy Carrigg hr&#64;bellfield.nsw.edu.au </p><p><b>Applications Close: Friday, 24th February 2023. </b></p><p><i>Bellfield College is committed to providing equal opportunity and supporting our communities by providing opportunities to grow and make a real difference.
