The College seeks to employ a Functions and Events Officer to assist and co-ordinate the College's event venues. Excellent administration and organisation skills, plus flexibility of hours is essential. This is a fullfilling role within a great team.

<p>Founded in 1881 by the Marist Brothers, St Joseph’s College is a boarding and day secondary boys’ school, whose Catholic identity is shaped by Marist spirituality and traditions. Governed by Marist Schools Australia, the College enrolment is approximately 1,100 students.</p><p>Reporting to the Community Relations Manager, this new role has been created to join the College’s Advancement Team. The Functions and Events Officer is responsible for planning, promoting, coordinating and delivering events undertaken through the Advancement Office and co-ordinating the College’s event venues. </p><p>Flexibility of hours is essential for this position as the Functions and Events Officer will work on evenings and weekends, as required. </p><p>The successful candidate will possess relevant qualifications and/or event management experience, preferably in an educational setting. Well developed skills in stakeholder engagement, negotiation and conflict management are critical for this role with proficiency in MS Office Suite and Adobe design desirable. </p><p>To be a successful member of this team you will have a collegial &amp; collaborative approach. </p><p>Applicants for this position must be supportive of the Marist ethos and have an appreciation for the diversity of the College community. </p><p>The College offers a modern work environment, with a very positive and supportive culture, located close to public transport and free parking.
