<p>We are seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified teachers to join our learning community in the role of Learning Leader (POL 3). </p><p>This is a senior leadership role.  The Learning Leader is a member of the school&#39;s Leadership for Learning Team and plays a pivotal role in the ongoing strategic leadership and development of the school.<br /></p><p><b>This position will appeal to you if you: </b></p><ul><li>want to be part of a welcoming, faith filled and thriving community;</li><li>are driven by a strong moral purpose of optimising the learning and wellbeing for every child;</li><li>love working with children and want to make a positive impact in their lives; </li><li>want to work as a valued member of a highly supportive and professional team;<br /></li><li>love learning and continue to seek ways to improve your own practice;</li><li>want to learn and develop your skills for strategic leadership and leadership for learning; <br /></li><li>enjoy working collaboratively with colleagues in pursuit of school goals.</li></ul><p><b>This position requires you to:</b></p><ul><li>actively support our Catholic school vision; </li><li>engage in the ongoing development of the school as an inclusive Catholic community;</li><li>work collaboratively as a member of the Leadership for Learning Team to drive an explicit and detailed school improvement agenda.</li><li>lead a team of educators while building their capacity to create effective teaching and learning experiences that are purposeful, engaging and meaningful so that every child&#39;s learning and wellbeing is optimised;<br /></li><li>lead colleagues in a cycle of continuous professional inquiry while building their capacity to design and implement differentiated teaching strategies that are responsive to the assessed learning strengths and needs of the child<br /></li><li>develop respectful, learning-centred relationships with children and their families; </li><li>participate in the broader life of the school including the Sacramental program, camps and community events; and<br /></li><li>behave professionally and ethically in all forums.</li></ul><p><b>To be considered for this position you must:</b></p><ul><li>have a commitment to the ethos of a Catholic school and its mission;</li><li>have an understanding of a school leader&#39;s role in the mission of the Church;</li><li>either have, be undertaking, or intend to undertake accreditation to teach Religious Education;<br /></li><li>be committed to the safety, wellbeing and protection of all children in our care; and</li><li>have appropriate registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.</li></ul><p><b>Desirable:</b> </p><ul><li>Previous leadership experience.</li><li>Post-graduate qualifications in one or more of the following areas: <i>educational leadership</i>; <i>literacy</i>; <i>numeracy</i>; <i>curriculum development</i>.</li></ul><p><b>Application Procedures:</b><br /></p><p>Applicants are encouraged to contact the Principal should they have any questions before submitting their application.</p><p>Applications should be made in writing and forwarded via email to the Principal: <a href="mailto:principal&#64;goodsam.catholic.edu.au" rel="nofollow">principal&#64;goodsam.catholic.edu.au</a> </p><p>Applications must include: completed online application form, a cover letter and a resume including the names of three (3) referees.</p>
