We are always on the lookout for top talent to help us achieve our strategic goal of inspiring the future, through quality catholic schooling and by strengthening the professional lives of our employees.</p> <p>The High Support Needs Centres for Learning are set in the context of&nbsp;<a href="https://www.xavierllandilo.catholic.edu.au/Learning/High-Support-Needs" rel="nofollow">Xavier College, Llandilo</a>,&nbsp;<a href="https://stpatsdundas.catholic.edu.au/Learning/High-Support-Needs" rel="nofollow">St Patrick’s Marist College, Dundas</a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href="https://www.stlukesmarsdenpark.catholic.edu.au/Arrunga" rel="nofollow">St Luke's Arrunga School</a>&nbsp;providing students with an alternate platform for learning. The learning for students enrolled in the centres will reflect their needs and will, where appropriate include attendance in some mainstream classes.&nbsp;Through a focus on learning and wellbeing, our centres provide individualised programs and support for children with high support needs.</p> <p dir="ltr"><strong>About the opportunity:</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">The Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese is seeking <strong>Specialist Teachers</strong> to work within the high support needs space, and be accountable for supporting our Strategic Intent of improving learning outcomes for all students and promoting a professional and rewarding working life for teachers.</p> <p dir="ltr"><strong>The Specialist Teacher is accountable for:</strong></p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Creating inclusive practice in school culture in relation to the effective implementation of personalised learning and adjustments for students with additional needs and disability<br>Understanding and implementing the Personalised Planning process</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Providing specialised teaching support services to schools aimed at building teacher capacity using a gradual release model</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Providing expert advice to leadership teams, teachers and the wider system on matters related to specific disabilities and/or additional needs in accordance with CSPD guidelines</p> </li> </ul> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Working collaboratively to ensure inclusion, access and participation and to maximise learning outcomes for students with additional needs.</p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr"><strong>About you:</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">To be successful in this highly rewarding role you will demonstrate alignment with the purpose and core values of CSPD along with:</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr">Compliance with NSW Child Protection Legislation - Working with Children Check clearance</li> <li dir="ltr">Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)</li> <li dir="ltr">Tertiary Qualification (minimum 4-year degree, or 75% complete)</li> <li dir="ltr">Previous experience working with vulnerable students</li> <li dir="ltr">Demonstrated ability to build meaningful relationships with students and support an inclusive learning environment</li> </ul> <p dir="ltr">We believe that our employee community is a key strength of our organisation and we aim to attract the best talent to achieve our strategic goal of being leaders in quality, faith-based education and an Employer of Choice in our sector.
