We are seeking a Resource Planning Officer to be accountable for assisting leaders in our Learning  teams by providing specialised administrative support in the area of people budgets, school staffing and workforce reporting.

You will be a great communicator, have a head for numbers and enjoy helping team members solve problems.</p> <p dir="ltr"><strong>In your first three months you will:</strong></p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Join the Resource Planning team in delivering our final school staffing cycle for 2023, working in collaboration with Finance, Workforce Planning and Learning teams to allocate staffing to schools</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Work with team members to develop your deep understanding of the Learning team’s structure, processes and budget, quickly becoming a reliable expert in the way things work</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Use your initiative and fresh perspective to suggest and deliver improvement to process</p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr"><strong>Your day to day:</strong></p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">As part of a Resource Planning team, supporting leaders in the allocation of formula and need-based staffing</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Updating and ensuring data accuracy using available tools, providing reliable budget, forecasts and reporting to respond to anticipated and ad-hoc requests</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Supporting continuous improvement initiatives in processes and systems a part of resource planning project teams</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Providing support and expertise to leaders in understanding staff allocations and tools throughout staffing cycles</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Monitoring budgets and participating in regular budget meetings with managers</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Performing financial and payroll reconciliations to actuals on a fortnightly cycle</p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr"><strong>What you’ll bring to the role</strong></p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Significant experience in financial and administrative duties, previous experience in resource or workforce planning would be beneficial but not essential</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Experience using enterprise financial systems such as TechnologyOne or similar</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Excellent attention to detail and the desire to find out more when understanding org structures, budgets and processes</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Skills in using Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets with the ability to skill up and problem solve tricky queries and situations</p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr"><strong>What’s in it for you?</strong></p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Salary Packaging options</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Hybrid/Flexible working environment - work between your home and the office</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Employee Wellbeing Assistance Program</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Professional Development Opportunities</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Up to 14 weeks Paid Parental Leave</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Supportive and collaborative culture</p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr"><strong>Interested?
