We are seeking a Senior Legal Recoveries Officer to join CSPD on a permanent full-time basis. You will work as part of the School Fees Liaison Unit and be accountable for the management of overdue school fee accounts requiring legal interventions.

You will work as part of the School Fees Liaison Unit and be accountable for the management of overdue school fee accounts requiring legal interventions.</p> <p dir="ltr"><strong>More specifically you will be:</strong></p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Identifying and managing overdue accounts requiring high level negotiation and/or needing legal intervention for recovery</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Providing legal representatives with instructions pertaining to legal action</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Proactive management of accounts to increase the likelihood of student retention</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Monthly Reporting on Legal debt portfolio</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Ensuring high level effective communication skills within the system of schools: principals, finance staff, families and legal representatives&nbsp;</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Using diplomacy and discretion, exhibiting empathy to families in sensitive and stressful circumstances in an attempt to resolve legal matters, prior to court action.</p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr"><strong>About you:</strong></p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Background in debt collection and knowledge on associated legal processes</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Ability to have sensitive and/or difficult conversations&nbsp;</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Leadership skills (desirable)&nbsp;</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Appropriate demonstrated experience</p> </li> </ul> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Working with Children Check clearance or willingness to obtain</p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr">We believe that our employee community is a key strength of our organisation and we aim to attract the best talent to achieve our strategic goal of being leaders in quality, faith-based education and an Employer of Choice in our sector.
