<p align="center"><span style="font-size: 11pt"><strong>Finance Business Partner</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 11pt"><strong>Location:</strong> Manuka, Canberra</span><br><span style="font-size: 11pt"><strong>Employment Type:</strong> Full-time, Fixed-term</span><br><span style="font-size: 11pt"><strong>Salary Range: </strong>Grade 6 ($118,011 - $129,808 + Superannuation)</span><br><span style="font-size: 11pt"><strong>Position number: </strong>#500957&nbsp;</span><br><span style="font-size: 11pt"><strong>Start Date:</strong> February 2023 (immediately)</span><br><span style="font-size: 11pt"><strong>Closing Date: </strong>11.55pm, Sunday 5 February 2023</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 11pt">Catholic Education, Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn (CECG) plays an integral role in education both in the ACT and NSW operating 56 Catholic Systemic Schools and eight Early Learning Centres.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 11pt"><strong>About the Role</strong></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-right: 4.6pt"><span style="color: black; font-size: 11pt">As a Finance Business Partner for the Catholic Education Office (CEO), your role will be focused on being a strong support and partner to senior stakeholders and CEO executives within the organisation. Working together with the Finance team, you will provide crucial financial analysis and reporting services, including providing meaningful financial insights and advice.<br><br>Your role will include providing detailed financial planning and analysis services to your service area partners, including budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting, financial analyses, and other ad hoc requirements. This role sees you building relationships with critical internal clients across the organisation and driving initiatives to continuously evolve FP&amp;A services and improve the performance and operations of CECG.<br></span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 11pt"><strong>Benefits and Opportunities</strong></span></p> <ul type="disc"> <li><span style="font-size: 11pt">Positive and collaborative work culture</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 11pt">Attractive remuneration package with access to salary packaging</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 11pt">Immediate start available</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size: 11pt"><strong>Key responsibilities</strong></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0cm; line-height: 115%"><span style="font-size: 11pt">As a CEO Finance business partner, you will be accountable for:</span></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-size: 11pt">Monthly results preparation, analysis, and management reporting, including analysis of P&amp;L results during and following period end close, and the preparation of monthly management packs</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 11pt">Perform financial budgeting, forecasting, and planning to better enable the organisation to achieve its strategic goals.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 11pt">Perform financial analysis including scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis, driver-based analysis, and other forms of financial modelling.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 11pt">Provide meaningful financial insights to clients through regular and ad hoc management reporting.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 11pt">Support continuous improvement through BAU activities and projects.</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size: 11pt"><strong>Essential Criteria</strong></span></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-size: 11pt">The successful applicant will hold tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Business and hold current membership of a relevant professional accounting body such as CA/CPA.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 11pt">Minimum of 5 years’ experience across similar Finance roles.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 11pt">Experience within Financial Planning &amp; Analysis functions.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 11pt">Prior experience engaging with senior leadership and providing timely decision support.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 11pt">Proven ability to access, analyse and interpret complex data enabling robust evaluation, annual planning processes and support continuous improvement of services.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 11pt">A strong understanding of financial systems and reporting tools will mean that you are well placed to recommend improvements and optimisation.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 11pt">Proven effective consultation, facilitation and effective written and verbal&nbsp; communication skills. </span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 11pt">Ability to develop and manage &amp; influence stakeholders and build partnerships to support effective organisation change.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 11pt">Able to communicate complex financial information into understandable insights and advice.</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size: 11pt"><em>Please refer to the position description for an in-depth detail regarding position duties, criteria and skill set required.<br></em></span><em><br></em><strong>Application Process</strong></p> <p>Applicants will be required to submit a current resume and covering letter addressing the essential criteria outlined above.
