This position will support our indigenous community and promote activities that enhance understanding and integration across Indigenous education programs. We invite applications from suitably qualified teachers who have a well-developed capacity to support and enhance the learning outcomes of our students with additional learning needs. More specifically you will:</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Work with the College to improve opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Isalnder students to attend and thrive at school</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Promote good practice and innovation</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Structure lessons to meet the physical, social and intellectual development and characteristics of your students&nbsp;</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Work collaboratively to develop and implement cultural activities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Establish and maintain links with cultural communities and services, agencies and organisations</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Develop personalised learning plans for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Identify, monitor and record the progress of students</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Diagnose learning challenges and develop strategies to enable effective learning</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Work creatively and constructively within a range of stakeholders to set achievable goals for students.&nbsp;</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Model inclusive teaching practices&nbsp;</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Assist with the delivery of professional learning opportunities for all staff&nbsp;</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Perform specific tasks as directed by the Principal or delegate.&nbsp;</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Teach in your relevant subject area.</p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr">Applications should include: a cover letter addressing the position criteria, qualification transcripts, professional experience reports (if applicable) names of three professional referees, and other teaching subject areas</p> <p dir="ltr"><strong>About you:</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">To be successful in this highly rewarding role you will demonstrate alignment to the purpose and core values of CSPD along with:</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Tertiary Qualification in Education</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Statements of Service</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Appropriate demonstrated experience in a similar role</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the culture of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, including cultural protocols and the ability to build respectful relationships with students and their families to produce sound educational outcomes</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Improving opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to attend and thrive at school</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Promote good practice and innovation.</p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr">Applicants must identify as being of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent.
