The Maitland-Newcastle Catholic Schools office is seeking a permanent full-time Leader of  Leader School Learning & Wellbeing.

About the opportunity:<br><br>The Leader of School Learning and Wellbeing will support schools to provide high quality and equitable education for all students.<br>&nbsp;The role promotes learning and wellbeing practices based on contemporary, evidence-based principles.<br>This position and the team which reports to it, works closely with school leaders to ensure that adopted approaches for improved planning and teaching, in turn, improve student learning.&nbsp; The team will work closely with schools to address school learning and wellbeing challenges as captured through their annual School Improvement Plans.<br><br>The Catholic Schools Office (CSO) is responsible for the leadership, operation and management of systemic schools which educate more than 20,000 students in 45 primary schools, 11 secondary schools, one K–12 school, one flexible learning centre and one special school in the Catholic Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle.<br>The position of Leader of School Learning and Wellbeing supports schools from a system level.<br><br><a href="https://diocesemn.azurewebsites.net/media/5986/position_description_-_cso_-_leader_of_school_learning_wellbeing.pdf" target="_blank"><span style="font-size:11pt" target="_blank"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif" target="_blank"><b><span style="font-size:12.0pt" target="_blank"><br><br><head3><b>POSITION DESCRIPTION</b></head3> </span></b></span></span></a><br><br> <br><br>The Leader of School Learning and Wellbeing is a newly created position to lead a team of experts in the area of School Learning and Wellbeing.<br><br>This role is responsible for creating a culture of responsibility, deep learning, enhanced wellbeing, and a sense of belonging for all, ensuring:<br><li>Every student is known as a person and a learner, and they demonstrate growth in their learning every year.<br></li><li>Provision of high-quality learning for teachers, leaders and schools through collaborative and relevant, contemporary professional learning experiences<br></li><li>Achievement of professional development for teachers, leaders, and schools through collaborative professional development and relevant, contemporary professional learning. • Development of an adaptive, innovative, and continuous learning culture.<br></li><li>Collaborate with the Head of Data and Analytics to ensure accuracy in learning and wellbeing data that informs the schools in their progress<br></li><li>This position is a member of the CSO Leadership team, whose role is to foster positive culture that drives and encourages high performance, collaboration, agility, accountability and trust.<br></li>
