<p><i>Monte Sant&#39; Angelo Mercy College is an independent school for girls in years 7 - 12. Heritage buildings and landscaped grounds provide an attractive educational environment.</i></p><p>An excellent opportunity has become available for a <b>Food Services Assistant</b> to join the College working during term time only. This position is working five days per week, Monday to Friday, between 8am - 4pm each day. Some flexibility in hours may be required to fulfil the responsibilities of this role. </p><p>The Food Services Assistant is responsible for assisting in the effective daily operation of the Monte school canteen and assisting with other College catering requirements.</p><p>The role includes a variety of responsibilities such as:</p><ul><li>Assisting College Chef with food preparation for canteen and catering requirements</li><li>Providing friendly and efficient service to students and staff at all times</li><li>Preparing, cooking and packaging food items</li><li>Assisting Food Services staff with serving of recess and lunch as well as other campus catering requirements including staff morning teas, after school events and meetings.</li><li>Assisting with setup, cleaning, maintenance and pack down of catering and meeting venues</li><li>Cleaning of canteen equipment </li><li>Preparing and cooking food items</li><li>Adhering to safe work practices</li></ul><p>Previous food preparation and hospitality experience is preferred but not essential.</p><p>As a school community, Monte places a strong emphasis on collegiality and professional development.
