St Vincent’s College is a Catholic Day and Boarding School for girls in Years 7 to 12. The College was founded by the Sisters of Charity in 1858, now under the stewardship of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and fosters creativity, discernment and leadership in the development of students to be courageous women of action.

<p>St Vincent’s College has recently created the position of Data and Applications Support Officer within the IT team which will oversee the management, standardisation and integration of data throughout the College.<br /></p><p> </p><p>Reporting to the Head of ICT, this role will work within the ICT team to ensure the College’s data is standardised and synchronised across a variety of applications. The Application and Data Support Officer will work directly with end users to ensure requirements and needs are accurately captured and is able to deliver desirable outcomes. St Vincent’s key systems include Edumate, Google Workspace for Education along with multiple other applications which play a critical role in the operation of the College. <br /></p><p>In addition, the Application and Data Support Officer will actively contribute to providing IT support through the College’s ticketing system, face to face interaction and phone support.<br /></p><p> <b>Key Responsibilities: </b></p><p> </p><p>● Respond to help desk queries from staff, students and parents within set SLA’s.<br /></p><p>● Work within and contribute to the College’s ICT team. </p><p>● Ensure data is securely maintained, managed and accessible as required. </p><p>● Integration of data sets across a variety of platforms. </p><p>● Key involvement in data and application based projects. </p><p>● Work with external and third party vendors. </p><p>● Creation of data visualisations and reports. </p><p>● Contribute to the College’s data strategy. </p><p>● Application inventory management including documentation, data mapping and maintaining an accurate list to reflect the College platform stack. </p><p>● Performing other duties as required. </p><p> </p><p><b>Desirable skills, experience and personal characteristics :</b><br /></p><p>● An excellent customer service manner with strong written and verbal communication skills, along with strong organisational and technical skills. </p><p>● Experience in Business Intelligence report &amp; dashboard design (preferably MS PowerBI). </p><p>● Experience in working with multiple databases &amp; datasets of varying formats. </p><p>● Knowledge of extracting data using REST API, SQL, PowerShell. </p><p>● Experience across a range of programming languages. </p><p>● Experience working with Learning Management Systems(LMS) and School Information Systems (SIS). </p><p>● Excellent attention to detail, with demonstrated high level analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills. </p><p>● Experience with supporting users in a Windows and MacOS environment. </p><p>● Experience using helpdesk platforms to manage and prioritise workloads. </p><p>● Ability to work independently and as part of a team. </p><p>● A minimum of 2 years working in an IT or education based environment. </p><p><b>Qualifications:</b><br /></p><p>● Bachelor Degree in Information Technology or equivalent. </p><p>● Relevant experience or qualifications in IT Service Management (ITSM)/ITIL (Desirable) </p><p><br /></p><p> The College follows Public Health Advice regarding COVID restrictions and vaccination status.</p>
