Our main site is located at Wetherill Park with 14 satellite classes&nbsp;within the Catholic and Department of Education schools across&nbsp;the Western and South Western regions of Sydney.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><a href="https://www.autismspectrum.org.au/how-can-we-help/going-to-school/aspect-schools/western-sydney-school">To find out more about our school, click here.</a></span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>What we are looking for:</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt;">The core functions of the role will be to;</span></p> <ol> <li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">secure employment pathways aligned to students’ strengths interests and readiness to participate in work experience program.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">support students in preparing student portfolio and curriculum vitae to support employment applications.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">plan and organise the Aspect Western Sydney work experience timetable and opportunities in conjunction with each student’s learning program.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">liaise and collaborate with parents/carers, students and teachers to plan, implement and monitor employment milestones prior to a transition post-school</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">supervise and direct Teachers’ Aides who support the RWEEP</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">prepare, document and approve RWEEP applications to ensure the safety and wellbeing of students as they participate in all facets of the RWEEP in accordance with Aspect procedures and policies (Risk Assessments, Insurance and Working with Children Checks and verifications of employees)</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">organise whole day training days for students to include job search strategies, resume writing, interview techniques and personal presentations.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">research, promote and procure employment and transition courses, both online and tailored programs to engage students</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">complete termly RWEEP Reports to outline achievements and milestones along with financial acquittals to the Redan Foundation and Aspect Philanthropy Team.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">report to the Principal through the nominated Coordinator to regularly seek support and approvals for internal resourcing and planning requirements in support of the operational needs of the school.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">ensure that programs and resources are maintained within the final budget framework</span></li> </ol> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Essential </strong></span></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Previous experience in delivering a Work Education and/or work experience program in a high school context highly desirable</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Highly developed skills in planning, networking and evaluating the impact of a work education and work experience pathways program</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">NESA Teacher accreditation approval to teach in NSW</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Evidence of strong networked connections and reach in sourcing and expanding employment relationships with businesses/employers to support our work experience program.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Demonstrated understanding of supporting autistic students and contributing to each students Individual Planning and collaboration meetings with parents/carers and students.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">NSW Working with Children Check clearance for paid employment</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Depending on the school's location/requirements it may be essential to have a current driver's licence </span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">You may be required to provide an international police clearance</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>What we offer:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Ongoing learning opportunities for advancement</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Full time base salary of $78k -
