The preferred candidate will be enthusiastic, keen to engage and inspire our students and be able to deliver a curriculum that caters for students with different learning styles.</p><p><b>About you:</b></p><ul><li>be a qualified teacher (or final year of study) and be committed to the full range of College activities</li><li>be committed to the Catholic ethos and values of our school </li><li>be an enthusiastic educator who can contribute to the culture of the school and its community</li><li>have the ability and/or experience in teaching a Language to Stage 4</li><li>have the ability and/or experience in teaching a Language to Stage 6 (desirable)</li><li>have the ability to teach multiple languages or in another Key Learning Area (desirable)</li><li>have an understanding of the education of girls</li><li>be a highly effective, innovative and motivated educator with a passion for learning and teaching</li><li>have the ability to differentiate instruction and personalise learning for students from Year 7 to Year 12</li><li>have an understanding of assessment for learning, as learning and of learning</li><li>have the ability to integrate effective feedback in student learning</li><li>be able to cater for the diverse needs of learners</li><li>have a proven ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team</li><li>possess excellent interpersonal, communication and technology skills</li><li>possess a sound knowledge of the NSW Languages curriculum</li><li>have an understanding of the requirements of the NSW Education Standards Authority</li><li>have a strong work ethic</li><li>be a role model personally and professionally</li></ul><div><br /></div><p><b>Selection Criteria:</b></p><p>All applications must address the following Selection Criteria. The Selection Criteria for the Languages position require the applicant to explain, and provide examples if relevant, of:</p><ul><li>their understanding of and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic Church</li><li>their ability to teach Languages</li><li>their ability to teach Stage 5 and/or 6 Languages (desirable)</li><li>their ability to teach multiple languages or in another Key Learning Area (desirable)</li><li>exemplary classroom practice, utilising a range of effective contemporary pedagogies</li><li>excellent classroom management skills</li><li>effective communication skills with students, staff and parents</li><li>a proven ability to work collegially within a faculty</li><li>a commitment to growing the College&#39;s culture of learning and thinking</li></ul><p><b>WWC Clearance</b><br /></p><p>This position requires the successful applicant to obtain and maintain a valid Working with Children Clearance.</p><p><b><i>Early applications are encouraged as interviews may commence before the closing date.</i></b><br /></p>
