St Mark's is seeking a committed, energetic P.E teacher to join our staff for the 2023 school year, who has excellent organisational skills and a passion for teaching PE and organising wonderful sporting events and opportunities for the students of our school.

<p><b><u>SELECTION CRITERIA:</u></b><br /></p><p><b>Qualifications: </b></p><p>• Appropriate qualification to teach in a Catholic Primary School </p><p>• Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic Primary School - preferable</p><p>• VIT Registration </p><p>• Level 2 First Aid preferable</p><p><b>Personal Qualities/Skills: </b></p><p>• Hardworking, fun and energetic </p><p>• Ability to build relationships with all members of the community, communicate effectively and work collaboratively, particularly in the organising and running of school sporting events such as inter school sports, house athletics, district competitions, school swimming, camps, training sessions and try outs etc</p><p>• A joyful, positive and dedicated commitment to all aspects of school life </p><p>• Ability to problem solve and think creatively </p><p>• A strong commitment to the values and ethos of Catholic Education</p><p>• Sound classroom management skills </p><p>• Current knowledge and competency in using technology</p><p>• Commitment to school and community events and activities through attendance, organisation and support, beyond the PE role</p><p>• Ability to provide a safe, secure learning environment for all, in line with the current child safe standards </p><p>• Excellent organisational skills, including thorough record keeping and detailed planning and assessment documents.</p><p>• A passion for teaching children P.E and involving them in an active life with a sound knowledge and understanding of best practice pedagogy and the Victorian Curriculum</p><p>• Ability to use student data to tailor curriculum to meet the individual needs of students </p><p>• Ability to be confidential, responsive and sensitive to issues raised by staff, students and families </p><p><br /></p><p> </p><p> </p>
