An exciting opportunity to work as an EAL/D Teacher Temporary position, commencing Term 1, 2023.

Personal growth is nurtured through positive relationships between our students and staff ensuring we live out our College motto Inspired by Christ.<br /></p><p>If you feel you could make a positive difference in our students&#39; school experience, please apply to start the process of joining the All Saints family.<br /></p><p><b>About You<br /></b></p><p>We invite a suitably qualified <b>EAL/D Teacher</b> to join our All Saints&#39; community on a temporary contract commencing Term 1, 2023. </p><p><b>The following areas of responsibility and/or skills:</b></p><ul><li>Contributing to EAL/D scope and sequencing, programming and assessment procedures to ensure Sydney Catholic Schools’ and NESA compliance requirements</li><li>Contributing to collaborative planning, language analysis and staff professional learning</li><li>Supporting and managing the collection of EAL/D data and the active promotion of responsive pedagogy across college KLA’s</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively with classroom teachers, College and system leaders, and external providers</li><li>A high level of knowledge of the EAL/D learner, pedagogy and the capacity to improve student learning</li><li>Experience in developing literacy and oral language skills</li><li>Experience in developing reading and writing skills</li><li>A high level of knowledge of the EAL/D learner, the EAL/D learning progression, EAL/D pedagogy and the capacity to improve student learning</li><li>Experience working with newly arrived students</li></ul><p>Post-graduate qualifications in TESOL or a willingness to study in this domain are highly valued.</p><p><b>The following General Capabilities are applicable to the role:</b><br /></p><ul><li>strong verbal and written communication skills<br /></li><li>ability to work collaboratively in a team environment</li><li>strong organisational skills</li><li>Certificate III in Education Support is highly desirable</li><li>Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)</li><li>Sydney Catholic Schools’ employment number is desirable but not essential.</li></ul><p>Note: If you are not already employed by SCS, to commence this process please go to:https://sydcatholicschools.nsw.edu.au/careers/registration-to-teach</p><p><b>Application Process</b></p><p>Applications must be addressed to the Principal, Mr Daniel McInerney with the following:</p><ul><li>a covering letter</li><li>a current resume</li><li>three referees, including name and contact details.</li></ul><p>Applications Close: Monday 12th December 2022</p><p>Applicants are asked to indicate their availability in their cover letter.
