We are a&nbsp;learning community whose teachers strive for the “spiritual, physical, emotional, intellectual, and aesthetic development of all students”.<br><br><strong>About the Role</strong></p> <p><strong> The Leader of Learning - Learning Commons</strong> has overall responsibility for the oversight of the Learning Commons’ teaching and learning spaces, and is responsible in the first instance to the Assistant Principal – Learning and Teaching. The role of the Leader of Learning - Learning Commons includes assisting teachers and students to use the Learning Commons facility and resources effectively; working collaboratively with teachers in facilitating learning; and working with Learning Commons Teachers and Learning Commons support teachers to ensure the Learning Commons is an adaptable, responsive and welcoming environment that meets the current and emerging needs of the staff and students.</p> <p><strong>Essential Criteria</strong></p> <p><em>There is a teaching load with this role. Therefore, the person filling this role must also possess the skills, knowledge and qualifications of an effective classroom teacher. </em></p> <p>Specific requirements for this role include:</p> <ul> <li>A commitment to promoting and articulating the Catholic identity of the College through all relevant programs and practices and in communication with staff, students and parents.</li> <li>Demonstrated evidence of effective teamwork and collaboration.</li> <li>Appropriate qualifications and a commitment to engage in relevant ongoing Professional Learning.</li> <li>Successful experience in educational leadership.</li> <li>A strong understanding of contemporary approaches to student learning and effective pedagogical practices.</li> </ul> <p><em>Please refer to the role description for an in-depth detail regarding criteria and skill set required. <br><br><strong>Please note:</strong> This is a full-time position for an initial&nbsp;two-year period with an opportunity for further extensions. Two further extensions (each of four years) will be offered on performance outcomes.
