CSBB is offering sporting pathways for primary and secondary students while maintaining the understanding of and commitment to the diverse sporting, academic and welfare needs of all students.</p><p>Reporting to the Learning Partner: Pathways and Partnerships, you will be accountable for implementing a revised operational sport model based on the recommendations of the Sport Improvement Enquiry Report. The Towards 2025 Strategy commits our system of schools to be at least as good as the very best, to maximise the learning growth of every student, and to inspire hearts and minds to know Christ and love learning. Covering an expansive geographical area which includes the Central Coast and Sydney’s Northern Beaches and North Shore, Catholic Schools Broken Bay is a system serving 44 Catholic Schools with around 17,000 students from Kindergarten to Year 12.</p><p><b>About the Role</b></p><ul><li>Lead the implementation of the recommendations of the Sport Improvement Enquiry Report and the significant change process to embed a re-imagined approach to pathway and non-pathway sport</li><li>Develop and implement a new Term of Reference for Diocesan Sport (K-12)</li><li>Serve as CSBB sport representative at an Inter-diocesan level</li><li>Identify and mentor gifted and talented athletes to reach their potential through pathway and non-pathway sport</li><li>Actively seek sporting opportunities and pathways for students with a disability</li><li>Manage sport budget within delegation and develop and maintain professional relationship with Financial Viability</li><li>Review existing policies and identify where new guidelines are required for optimum CSBB sport operations</li><li>Proactively apply for third party grants to support CSBB sport to flourish</li><li>Maintain engagement with ex-students to support CSBB sport post schooling and pathways</li><li>Establish improved communications, information sharing, and registration systems to support the complex administration requirements of sport operations</li><li>Establish a series of workflows to better manage accountabilities and responsibilities of schools, CSBB sport team and Financial Viability</li><li>Proactively collaborate with schools to enable students to enter and be supported in external competitions and representative domains</li></ul><p><b>About You </b> </p><ul><li>Supportive of, or can demonstrate an understanding and commitment to, the ethos of the Catholic faith in an educational context </li><li>Working understanding of school operations</li><li>Deep understanding of pathway sport and non-pathway sport</li><li>Minimum five-years teaching or sports administration experience, with leadership responsibilities in a complimentary field</li><li>Previous experience working in primary or secondary sport</li><li>Familiarity with Catholic systemic primary or secondary sport desirable</li><li>Practical understanding of a standards informed school environment</li><li>Understanding the connections between strategic goals and operational activities</li><li>Understands and appreciates student growth and development theories and methodologies</li><li>Applies project and change management methodologies and work in a continuous improvement and coaching culture to lead strategic/operational reform</li><li>Has a keen eye for detail to deliver consistently accurate and informed written and verbal communications suitable for the receiving audience</li><li>Understanding of school sport dynamics</li><li>Works with the stakeholders to serve their needs and requirements</li><li>Is energised by working in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Is adaptive and responsive to change and can adapt to working under pressure and re-prioritising tasks   </li></ul><p><b>Qualifications and Accreditation</b></p><ul><li>Relevant teaching, sports administration, coaching (or similar) qualification/accreditation</li><li>Accredited to teach in NSW</li><li>Valid Working with Children Check </li><li>Current NSW Driver’s Licence (and own car required) </li></ul><p><b>Application Process </b></p><p>Applications should include: </p><ul><li>A cover letter of no more than two pages addressing why you are interested in the role and addressing the criteria listed above. </li><li>A current resume.</li></ul><p>Please send your applications to Malik Ali, Talent Partner at <b><u>careers&#64;dbb.org.au</u></b></p><p><b>Applications Close on - Tuesday, 20 December 2022.</b></p><p><b>Enquiries </b></p><p>If you have any enquiries about this role, please do not hesitate to contact Malik in the Talent team on 0424 862 331 or via email at careers&#64;dbb.org.au </p><p>Agencies, please note that unsolicited resumes for these positions will not be considered.  </p><p><b>New position on COVID-19 vaccinations</b></p><p>Given the current management of risks associated with COVID-19 in the community, and the gradual wind-back of some settings, CSBB has decided to no longer require all staff to be fully vaccinated, effective 19 September 2022.
