<p>An opportunity exists for a passionate and experienced French teacher to join Kambala’s languages department.</p><p>The successful candidate will work with a motivated and collaborative team that delivers a creative, future-focussed education. </p><p>As a leading all-girls educational institution in Australia, Kambala continues a proud tradition of empowering young women and embracing dynamic approaches to learning. In partnership with the Deputy Principal - Academic and Head of Department, the successful applicant will be responsible for delivering outstanding academic programs and nurturing a culture of collaboration.</p><p>The position is a permanent part-time role 0.60 teaching position, commencing in Term 1 2023. </p><p>The key responsibilities of the position include:</p><ul><li>Planning, programming and teaching of French across all levels.</li><li>Commitment to deliver content in a dynamic way.</li><li>Establishing a safe and supportive learning environment both within and outside of the classroom.</li><li>Using a variety of appropriate teaching strategies and resources, including ICT, to make content meaningful</li><li>to all students.</li><li>Managing student behaviour by engaging students in purposeful and worthwhile learning activities.</li><li>Remain committed to child protection and contribute to meeting the child safe program standards.</li></ul><p>We are looking for a teacher who:</p><ul><li>possesses a strong academic record with relevant qualifications in teaching French;</li><li>is passionate about the teaching of French;</li><li>is a fluent French speaker;</li><li>has experience of, or willingness to train for, teaching the IB French SL and HL courses;</li><li>possesses a thorough understanding of the process of second language acquisition;</li><li>has a natural rapport with staff and girls;</li><li>has the ability to engage students and inspire them to achieve the best results;</li><li>is confident in differentiating the curriculum in the classroom to create an inclusive environment; </li><li>has the ability to engage with technology as a tool for teaching and learning;</li><li>will support the co-curricular and pastoral care programs at the school;</li><li>has a commitment to ongoing professional learning; and</li><li>will actively support the vision of the department and ethos of the school.</li></ul><p> Any applicant will be required to supply a current Working with Children Check Number or Application Number.</p><p>Applications should include the names of at least two referees, including a referee from a current minister or pastor, and curriculum vitae.</p><p>Applicants may be interviewed as applications are received and the position may be filled prior to the deadline. </p><p><br /></p>
