St Clare’s College is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced teacher for the leadership role of Director of Administration to commence in 2023. This position is a permanent full time 3 point time and 3 point remuneration allocation.

<p>St Clare’s College is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced teacher for the leadership role of Director of Administration to commence in 2023. This position is a permanent full time 3 point time and 3 point remuneration allocation.</p><p><b>About the role</b>:<br /></p><p>The Director of Administration is a delegated responsibility by the Principal and a member of the College Leadership Team. The Director of Administration shares with the Principal responsibility for providing quality Catholic education for students in their care. He/she has particular responsibility for a diverse range of administrative tasks that ensure the smooth and professional operation of the College. The Director of Administration is directly responsible to the Deputy Principal in carrying out their duties.</p><p><b>Key Selection criteria:</b><br /></p><p>The Administration Coordinator is a delegated responsibility by the Principal for the leadership and management of the following key areas:-</p><p><b>1. Contributing to the development of the college as a faith community by:</b></p><ul><li>supporting the mission and ethos of the Catholic School in the Franciscan tradition.</li><li>giving personal witness to Catholic values in carrying out the day-to-day duties of the position.</li><li>contributing to the development of the College&#39;s Catholic culture through the promotion of Christian values and supporting the Religious Education teaching program.</li><li>supporting and promoting the College&#39;s Pastoral care policy.</li></ul><p><b>2. Collaborating in the promotion of the college as a centre of quality teaching and learning by:</b></p><ul><li>promoting academic excellence in a caring environment.</li><li>ensuring adequate supervision and provision of student work for all classes/duties of absent teachers.</li><li>collaborating with Heads of Department/TIC regarding equity in supervision as it relates to exam timetables.</li><li>overseeing all organisational aspects of assemblies and Awards Ceremonies.</li><li>organising the staffing and rooming during examination periods.</li></ul><p><b>3. Contributing to the development of a cohesive staff community by:</b></p><ul><li>contributing to staff morale through approaches which encourage consultation, collaboration, communication and teamwork.</li><li>giving practical support to the Deputy Principal and Wellbeing Team where appropriate.</li><li>collaborating with the Deputy Principal to maintain the balance of open and fair processes for the allocation of extra/supplementary/in lieu duties for staff, with giving consideration to particular staff members on occasions where necessary.</li><li>Demonstrating excellent presentation and communication skills.</li></ul><p><b>4. Contributing to the effective leadership and administration of the College by:</b></p><ul><li>implementing structures and procedures that are conducive to the efficient daily functioning of the college. This includes</li><li>morning replacements</li><li>coordinating casual staff</li><li>taking absence calls from staff and informing the Principal of the particular circumstances of such absences</li><li>organising necessary room changes</li><li>planning and maintaining duty rosters</li><li>bell times and variations to these where necessary</li><li>liaising with office staff in regards to completion of leave forms for absent staff and payment forms for casual staff.</li><li>collaborating with the Timetable Committee and the Director of Learning &amp; Teaching in developing and maintaining the College timetable.</li><li>liaising with relevant staff members for special events e.g. Opening Mass, High Achievers Assembly, Year 12 Graduation, etc...</li><li>overseeing the setting up of Hall or other venues for exams, parent/teacher interviews or special occasions, in collaboration with appropriate coordinator’s committees.</li><li>taking an active role in system and college initiatives to manage change.</li><li>undertaking other such tasks and responsibilities as may be requested by the Principal.</li></ul><p><b>Desirable:</b><br /></p><ul><li>Experience in using the Edval timetabling platform</li><li>Experience of 5 years of teaching</li></ul><p>Applicants should complete the St Clare’s College Teaching Application Form, which is available on the College website <a href="https://stclares.nsw.edu.au/college-links/" rel="nofollow">www.stclares.nsw.edu.au</a> (or download it from the bottom of this ad) and forward it with a covering letter, full CV, including transcripts of qualifications and the names and telephone numbers of at least three referees should be addressed to The Principal.
