Applications are invited from experienced and innovative candidates to join two Nazareth Parish Schools as an Occupational Therapist commencing Term 1(negotiable). The position is at Nazareth Catholic Primary School Grovedale and Lisieux Catholic Primary School Torquay North. The position is for a two-year fixed-term contract, with the possibility of extending the contract to ongoing.

<p>Working collaboratively with our teams of Allied Health staff and teachers, the OT will support students with diverse learning needs. As a team member, the OT will identify and develop social and emotional programs to enhance student learning and relationships with others.</p><p><b>Key responsibilities include:</b></p><ul><li>Conduct assessments for the identification of student needs and the provision of occupational therapy services</li><li>Provide specialised occupational therapy services for students that enhance student learning outcomes</li><li>Facilitate small group programs for students to assist with the development of social and emotional regulation</li><li>Collaborate with teaching staff on the design and implementation of adjustments and modifications to the curriculum</li><li>Supporting teachers in the development and implementation of Personalised Learning Plans</li><li>Capacity to deliver recommendations around best practice interventions for students with a diagnosis of ASD, ADHD, anxiety and other diverse needs</li><li>Provide professional learning for teachers to assist with the enhancement of student learning</li><li>Collect, collate and maintain relevant NCCD evidence</li><li>Provide written reports to present to parents at feedback meetings</li><li>Participate in team meetings, parent meetings and care team meetings when required<br /></li><li>Demonstrate well-developed communication, networking and interpersonal skills working as part of a collaborative professional multi-disciplinary team<br /></li></ul><p><b>To excel in this position, you will have the following skills, experience and attributes:</b><br /></p><ul><li>Relevant and APRHA-recognised degree in a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or equivalent<br /></li><li>Hold a full registration with APHRA</li><li>Demonstrate well-developed communication, networking and interpersonal skills working as part of a collaborative professional multi-disciplinary team</li><li>Understanding of relevant assessments and interventions<br /></li><li>Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills<br /></li><li>Capacity for a high level of discretion and professional judgement<br /></li><li>Commitment to Occupational Health and Safety</li></ul><p>Nazareth and Lisieux Learning Communities are committed to the safety, wellbeing, protection and inclusion of all children in our care. The position is .60.
