Release time will also be allocated to the Sports Teacher to take on a Reference Teacher Leadership role in order to provide school, representative and extra curricular opportunities for our students in the area of sport. This role is well suited to candidates with leadership qualities and aspirations.</p><p>Applicants should have:</p><ul><li>a commitment to the Mission of the Catholic School </li><li>demonstrated capacity as an exemplary K - 6 Physical Education practitioner or coach</li><li>a commitment and proven record in improving student performance in the area of Sport</li><li>a knowledge and understanding of inclusivity in Sport</li><li>the ability to remain patient managing less experienced sports participants and to encourage their development through participation and fun</li><li>a passion for working with younger students (Kindergarten) all the way through to the senior Primary students</li><li>the ability to teach explicitly, providing language supports always adopting a &#39;positive approach&#39;</li><li>strong interpersonal and organisational skills  </li><li>the ability to make positive connections with local / professional sports clubs, sports organisations and local council representatives</li><li>a willingness to apply a strategic and strong operational  approach to the planning of school carnivals, swimming programs and extra curricular experiences</li><li>a willingness to work closely with the leadership team in order to create and consolidate a clear vision for Sport at Sacred Heart</li><li>child protection screening compliance (WWCC – please provide number)</li><li>registered to teach with NESA and Sydney Catholic Schools (please provide ID numbers)</li></ul><p>Applications should include the names and contact details of two referees who may be contacted as part of the shortlisting process.
