<p>We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join our Finance team. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, this position will be critical to enhancing the financial viability of the College by maintaining the integrity of all accounting transactions and ledgers. This is a fast paced, multi-faceted role requiring exceptional communication and organisational skills, a high degree of accuracy, with an ability to prioritise and work autonomously. </p><p><b>Permanent full-time - Immediate start, ideally prior to Term 1, 2023 </b></p><p><b>Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM during School term only </b></p><p><b>Key responsibilities </b></p><ul><li>Paying accounts, including reconciling of creditor statements/invoices with purchase orders, processing cheque payments, arranging for cheque signatures and mailing out of payments. </li><li>Maintaining the Petty Cash floats for the College. </li><li>Processing of debtor receipts for payments and preparing bank deposits and/or processing credit card payments. </li><li>Uniform Shop (banking / processing of transactions) </li><li>Clearing and counting of monies. </li><li>Collecting and banking monies from fund raising activities. </li><li>Reconciling bank statements monthly. </li><li>Filing of accounting records and statements </li></ul><p>To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate you satisfy all the following essential selection criteria. </p><p><b>Essential criteria </b></p><ul><li>Australia Citizenship or Permanent Resident status. </li><li>3-5 years’ experience in accounts payable </li><li>Sound numeracy skills, attention to detail and accuracy </li><li>Competency in the use of information technology and MS Office applications especially Excel </li><li>Organised approach to work, and demonstrated ability to prioritise and meet deadlines </li><li>Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information. </li><li>Strong interpersonal skills including high level written and oral communication </li><li>Demonstrated ability to work effectively as an individual or member of a team and relate effectively with staff on all levels </li></ul><p><b>How to apply </b></p><p>To express your interest in joining our highly motivated professional staff, apply via the online ‘Career Application’ available on our website <a href="https://www.spc.nsw.edu.au/working-spc/" rel="nofollow">https://www.spc.nsw.edu.au/working-spc/</a> </p><p>Your application should consist of: </p><p><b>1.Cover letter</b> (maximum two pages) that highlights your claim for the role and demonstrates your suitability </p><p><b>2.Current CV</b> (maximum five pages) outlining your qualifications, experience and skills together with the contact information for three (3) referees (at least two must be from your current employer). </p><p>All applications should be addressed to The Principal (MS Word and PDF attachments are preferred). </p><p>Essential to this position is a commitment to the Catholic ethos of a School in the Edmund Rice tradition together with a commitment to the safety, wellbeing and dignity of all children and young people. </p><p>Evidence of a valid WWCC clearance and compliance with the College&#39;s Vaccination Policy will be required prior to employment. </p><p>St Patrick’s College is a child safe and child-centred organisation, committed to the protection of children and has zero-tolerance of any abuse of children.
