<p>FULL-TIME | SALARY RANGE $93,362– $99,153 P.A. &#43; SUPERANNUATION</p><p>INITIAL 1 YEAR CONTRACT | COMMENCING –30 JANUARY 2023</p><p><b>An exciting opportunity exists for a Social Worker working at St Francis Xavier Catholic School, Nauiyu Daly River, Northern Territory. </b></p><p>St Francis Xavier Catholic School, Nauiyu, Daly River is a systemic Catholic School that caters for students from Preschool to Year 12. CENT has a long proud history of being committed to and providing a strong, Catholic education to the Aboriginal community it serves. Daly River offers a unique opportunity of working in a remote community whilst also offering access to Darwin. </p><p><b>Key responsibilities</b>: </p><p>• Working with senior management and other members of the Inclusion Support Team to identify, assess, and provide individual evidence-based counselling for students at educational or personal risk and/or experiencing mental illness. </p><p>• Deliver professional service, including direct counselling for students with a range of mental health issues, applying sound theoretical knowledge and practical expertise. </p><p>• Plan and implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions for students with complex needs including collaborating with families, other professionals and agencies (paediatrician, clinic/community mental health team, CEO psychologists and allied health, Youth Justice, family support services, Territory Families) when appropriate, and manage the associated risks. </p><p>• Meet relevant policies and legislative requirements in relation to student health information privacy. </p><p>• Maintain professional competence and continued professional learning, including attending professional development activities and participating in clinical supervision. </p><p>• The Social Worker is the key point of contact for Territory Families for the school. </p><p>• Make appropriate referrals for students/families to external providers based upon their needs. </p><p>• Works closely with the Inclusion Support Coordinator </p><p>• Attend CEO Wellbeing Network Meetings once per term </p><p>This position will involve working with children.
