The Inclusion Support Coordinator (Primary) is responsible for ensuring staff are able to provide additional learning support to students who have diverse learning needs across Foundation to Year 6. The Inclusion Support Coordinator (Primary) will build a positive team and learning culture that supports the development of each student.

11B </p><p>FTE: 0.6-1.0 FTE </p><p>Reports to: College Principal and delegate: Deputy Principal (Primary) </p><p>Direct reports: Education Support Officers</p><p><br /></p><p> </p><p><b>General responsibilities</b></p><p> • Have an understanding of and commitment to the College Vision, Purpose, Values and Statement of Faith. </p><p>• Act in accordance with the College Handbook (Staff), Staff Code of Conduct and Staff Device Agreement, as well as all other College policies and procedures. </p><p>• Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with staff, students and parents. </p><p>• Actively contribute to the Christian life of the College community. </p><p>• Attend meetings, functions and extra-curricular activities as required. </p><p>• Participate in the College’s ongoing Professional Learning opportunities. </p><p><b><br /></b></p><p><b>Role and responsibilities</b> </p><p>The Inclusion Support Coordinator (Primary) is responsible for ensuring staff are able to provide additional learning support to students who have diverse learning needs across Foundation to Year 6. </p><p>The Inclusion Support Coordinator (Primary) will build a positive team and learning culture that supports the development of each student. </p><p>• Collaborate with classroom teachers to empower them in the planning and delivery of effective teaching and learning programs for identified students </p><p>• Actively foster partnerships in learning between parents and teachers regarding student learning and growth </p><p>• Provide direct instruction and support to individuals and groups of students </p><p>• Assist in the preparation of individual education plans (IEPs) as required </p><p>• Administer diagnostic assessments (formal and informal) in identifying students with learning difficulties and measuring individual progress </p><p>• Liaise with Allied Health professionals </p><p>• Organise timetables and support spaces for Allied Health professionals </p><p>• Research and implement evidence-based interventions and supports </p><p>• Maintain accurate records of student achievement and progress, and provide regular communication and reports to teachers and parents </p><p>• Complete funding applications for students identified with special needs and other relevant compliance documentation </p><p>• Display a thorough understanding of, and collect relevant data for, NCCD </p><p>• Manage the Inclusion Support budget in consultation with the Business Manager </p><p>• Attend Leadership and Staff Meetings as required </p><p>• Adhere to College policies and procedures </p><p>• Implement positive culture and outwork restorative approaches and KARR framework </p><p>• Develop creative and engaging activities across subjects for identified students ensuring that individual needs are met </p><p>• Other duties as directed </p><p><br /></p><p><b>Desired qualifications of successful candidate</b></p><p> • A Bachelor of Education qualification with previous teaching experience </p><p>• South Australian Government Working with Children Check </p><p>• Current First Aid qualification – BELS First Aid training (HLTAID010) at a minimum </p><p>• Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care (RRHAN-EC) Training </p><p><br /></p><p><b>Desired skills and abilities of successful candidate</b></p><p> • Ability to teach and engage with students who have diverse learning needs </p><p>• Excellent verbal and written communication skills </p><p>• Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with students, staff and parents </p><p>• Effective time management skills with proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload </p><p>• Ability to be innovative, enthusiastic and self-motivated </p><p>• Proficiency in digital technology </p><p>• Ability to manage the demands of the position including administration and professional responsibilities </p><p><br /></p><p><b>Applications are to include</b></p><p> • Cover letter, maximum 1 page </p><p>• Written response to the above “Role and Responsibilities” criteria, maximum 1500 words </p><p>• Curriculum Vitae outlining details of qualifications and areas of study, educational history, previous employment and relevant personal information </p><p>• Completion of the <b>Portside Christian College Application for Employment – Teaching</b> available on our website at <u>www.portside.sa.edu.au</u> under the <i>Our College – Careers</i> heading </p><p><br /></p><p><b>Application deadline and details </b></p><p>Applications are to be received by <b>9am on Monday, 12th December 2022 </b></p><p>Applications should be addressed to: </p><p>Mrs Belinda Elsegood, Human Resources, Portside Christian College </p><p>Email: application&#64;portside.sa.edu.au </p><p><br /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p>
