St Bede’s Catholic College, Chisholm is seeking a temporary part time (12hrs p/w) Canteen Assistant&nbsp;to join the team in January 2023.<br><br>St Bede’s Catholic College, in the recently established suburb of Chisholm, is a new co-educational Catholic secondary school that is part of the Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle.<br>The College opened in 2018 and will eventually cater for 1,100 students in Years 7 to 12.<br>Currently, the College has approximately 680 Year 7-11 students, with the first Year 12 cohort to graduate in 2023.&nbsp;<br><br>The key components that drive the development of the school are Courage, Knowledge, Community and Faith.<br>These components align to the four domains of the College’s Strategic Plan – Catholic Formation and Mission, Learning and Teaching, Leadership, Wellbeing and Partnerships.<br><br><a href="https://diocesemn.azurewebsites.net/media/5778/position_description_-_cso_-_canteen_officer.pdf" target="_blank"><strong><br><br><head3><b>POSITION DESCRIPTION</b></head3></strong></a><br><br>The Canteen Assistant will assist inmainting the day-to-day operations of the school canteen including opening and closing the canteen and preparing and selling menu items as per the canteen menu. The position requires the ability to follow relevant food handling and money handling policies in addition to maintaining a cooperative working environment and provide a friendly, customer focused service to studentsand staff within the school community.&nbsp;<br><br>The Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle is committed to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults, preventing those in our care from suffering abuse or neglect, and is committed to being compliant with the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations and the National Catholic Safeguarding Standards.
