<p>Lakeside College is a Prep to 12 Christian School in the Lutheran tradition which seeks to empower all students to thrive, serve and succeed, inspired by the love of Christ. Operating since 2006, the College community is growing with a current enrolment of 505 students. </p><p>Emerging at an exciting time in the College’s history, suitable candidates are invited to commence a discussion with the College Principal as they consider seeking the role of Head of Primary, leading the Primary School staff and students to deliver our mission to the community of Pakenham, Victoria. </p><p>2023 sees the opening of exciting new learning spaces including recently constructed Upper Primary and Specialist Art spaces. </p><p>The successful candidate will:</p><ul><li>Be a practicing Christian who supports a Lutheran understanding of Christian Education</li><li>Possess a student first mindset committed to ensuring all decisions align with improving student outcomes</li><li>Have a highly developed ability to lead best practice Primary School education</li><li>Have proven leadership capability, senior management skills and an enduring commitment to the transformative role of education in the lives of young people</li></ul><p>Ideally commencing at the beginning of Term 2 2023 for a 5 year appointment, the Head of Primary reports directly to the College Principal and is a key member of the College Executive team.</p><p>Interested applicants should first contact the College Principal, Mr Tom Brennen, via a phone call to 0412 328 627 to discuss the position and receive a copy of the application package.</p><p>Applications for this position close 5pm Monday 16th January.</p><p>Applicants are also asked to <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v&#61;Q0c5TSY-3JA&amp;feature&#61;youtu.be" rel="nofollow">view this video</a>.</p><p> </p><p><b>Key Selection Criteria </b></p><p><i>Essential</i></p><ul><li>A practising Christian who supports the Lutheran understanding of the Gospel</li><li>Previous experience leading at a Head of School / Deputy Principal / Campus Principal level</li><li>Posses Lutheran Education Australia Leadership Accreditation (or be willing to undertake this process within the first year of employment)</li><li>A student first mindset committed to ensuring all decisions align with improving student outcomes</li><li>A passionate heart for education with a focus on Primary education</li><li>Highly developed understanding and practice of Primary School education</li><li>Proven leadership capability which demonstrates servant leadership</li><li>Proven management skills and experience</li><li>Proven ability to work as part of a small Executive team to reach key strategic outcomes</li><li>Desire to maintain a teaching load as part of their leadership position</li></ul><p><i>Highly Desirable </i></p><ul><li>Excellent communication skills - verbal and written</li><li>Capacity to thrive in a small and vibrant school</li><li>Tertiary qualifications in educational leadership</li><li>Previous experience working in a Prep to 12 environment</li><li>Possesses membership of the Lutheran Church of Australia</li></ul><p><b>Child Safety </b></p><p>Lakeside College is committed to being a Child Safe organisation.
