<p>We seek a passionate 0.4 FTE teacher of Well-being &amp; Mental Health with a strong work ethic to join our team at St George Preca School. The role is a contract position covering two days per week (negotiable). The position commences at the start of the 2023 school year.</p><p><br /></p><p>The role of the Well-being &amp; Mental Health teacher will be to:</p><p> Promote a whole school approach to mental health and well-being to students, staff, and families </p><p> Support teachers and school staff to expand their capacity to embed evidence-based mental health strategies and programs and build mental health literacy to identify and support primary school students with mental health concerns. </p><p> In collaboration with the school psychologist, coordinate clear referral pathways internally (within the school) and externally (to community services) for students identified as requiring further assessment and intervention. </p><p> Support teachers in the classroom with the implementation of the Berry St Educational Model</p><p> Contribute to the school’s existing well-being team.</p><p>Special Requirements </p><p>The successful applicant will: </p><p>• have an understanding of the ethos and traditions of the Catholic Church </p><p>• have VIT registration </p><p>• be accredited to teach RE or committed to achieving this accreditation </p><p>• be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment </p><p>• Commit to St George Preca School&#39;s Child Safe policies and the Code of Conduct </p><p>Applicants should address the Selection Criteria, include a resume, and name three referees, including their current Principal.
