Chevalier College seeks applications for a full-time School Counsellor for Terms 1 and 2 2023 (maternity leave). Four days per week will be considered for the right applicant, if requested. The School Counsellors are responsible to the Assistant Principals – Wellbeing. They work closely with staff involved in wellbeing to support the ethos of the college being lived out daily.

They work closely with staff involved in wellbeing to support the ethos of the college being lived out daily. </p><p><b>Essential Criteria </b></p><ul><li>Tertiary qualification appropriate for adolescent counselling. </li><li>Ability to work in the Wellbeing team and understanding of current adolescent issues, including mental health. </li><li>The ability to develop and sustain strong, appropriate relationships that enhance the charism of the college and the wellbeing of staff and students. </li><li>The ability to develop and sustain strong, appropriate relationships that support and enhance the charism of the College. </li></ul><p><b>Desirable Criteria </b></p><ul><li>Educational Psychologist credentials. </li><li>Experience of 5 or more years in a similar role. </li></ul><p><b>Other </b></p><ul><li>Full-time temporary position for Terms 1 and 2 2023 (maternity leave). Four days per week will be considered for the right applicant, if requested. </li><li>Salary to be negotiated with the successful candidate and conditions will generally be as per the NSW Catholic Independent Schools (Support Staff – Model B) Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2020. </li><li>This is a child-related position. Preferred candidates are required to possess a valid a Working With Children Check and will be subject to identification verification. </li></ul><p><br /></p><p> </p>
