We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Information Technology (POL3) to join us to teach and lead the Information Technology department in an innovative and contemporary environment

<ul><li>Real Life Learning </li><li>A welcoming and supportive working environment </li><li>Opportunity to make a real difference in the development and lives of students </li></ul><p>We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and highly skilled Head of Information Technology (POL3) to join Penola Catholic College to teach and lead the Information Technology department in an innovative and contemporary environment for 2023-2025. </p><p>As the Head of Information Technology you will have an important role in assisting a number of classroom / subject teachers to further develop and enhance the quality of learning and teaching in their classrooms. You will have a facilitating role in fostering a high standard of reporting in both formal and informal ways. </p><p>Please note an ongoing teaching appointment is attached to the position, with classes for 2023 including: </p><ul><li>2x Year 9 Creative Digital Applications </li><li>VET Information Technology 1&amp;2 </li><li>Year 12 Homeroom </li></ul><p>As an innovative Teacher and Head of Information Technology you will strive to create a learning environment which engages and extends our students, enabling all students to flourish. You will also deliver a collaborative and consistent approach to supporting the diverse needs of our students. </p><h4>About You </h4><p>To be successful you will be able to demonstrate and model contemporary teaching practice: understanding how students ‘learn best’. You will have a passion for Information Technology with a demonstrated knowledge of Python, C# or VB.Net. You will also have a demonstrated knowledge of the Australian curriculum frameworks and have a demonstrated capacity to provide leadership that is characterised by a desire for continuous improvement, lateral thinking and innovation, holding team members to account where necessary.
