We are seeking  a passionate and committed Religious Education Coordinator to share in the leadership of the Catholic school community by supporting the Principal and Leadership Team. This is a classroom teacher role with three days' release provided for REC duties per fortnight.

In addition, you will:</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Ensure that the school delivers high quality contemporary learning and teaching for the community it serves which is embedded in the Catholic world view</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Lead a collaborative ministry of witness and service and part of the evangelising mission of the Church</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Contribute a deep knowledge of the Religious Education curriculum and in enhancing the liturgical, sacramental and spiritual life of the school</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Build the necessary relationships with the Parish Priest, parents, learning community, Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta and other partners contributing to the work of Catholic schooling&nbsp;</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Create and maintain a safe, inclusive and challenging learning environment</p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr">&nbsp;</p> <p dir="ltr"><strong>About you (selection criteria)</strong></p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">A strong commitment to the Catholic faith in practice and lifestyle, witness and modelling</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">A minimum of four years professional qualification in education</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Substantial currency in Religious Education pedagogy and knowledge of the Religious Education curriculum</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">An understanding of contemporary learning theory and practice, and an ability to ensure this is evident in the teaching within the school</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Capacity to challenge and lead a school community that gives witness to the Catholic faith and its teaching and is aligned with the system strategic intent</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Demonstrated ability to build and sustain positive peer relationships and engage actively within the school community</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Commitment to modelling school values and integrity</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">A demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional learning and formation</p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr">&nbsp;</p> <p dir="ltr"><strong>Qualifications and Accreditations required</strong></p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Master of Religious Education/Theology or commitment to complete within four years of appointment</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">&nbsp;Compliance with NSW Child Protection Legislation - Working with ChildrenCheck clearance</p> </li> </ul> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Tertiary Qualification (minimum 4-year degree)<br><br></p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr">We believe that our employee community is a key strength of our organisation and we aim to attract the best talent to achieve our strategic goal of being leaders in quality, faith-based education and an Employer of Choice in our sector.
