Teachers within the Diocese are responsible to the Principal and shares in the learning and teaching of subject matters to students of the school community. Teachers are responsible for delivering high quality contemporary learning and teaching for the community they serve which is embedded in the Catholic world view. It is a collaborative ministry of witness and service and part of the evangelising mission of the Church.

<p><b>Location: </b>Catherine McAuley - Westmead</p><p dir="ltr">As part of the mission of the Catholic Schools Diocese of Parramatta Limited (CSDPL) and Catherine McAuley Westmead, the Pathways and Partnerships Coordinator is accountable for guiding students in preparation for learning and work post-school and establishing and developing strategic partnerships with business, tertiary and community stakeholders to enhance the learning of students. This role, and its specific key accountabilities, are informed by, and responsive to the needs of the students of Catherine McAuley, Westmead and the demands of the contemporary environment in which they are educated. The development of this role has been underpinned by Professor Peter Shergold’s report <a href="https://cica.org.au/final-report-of-the-education-council-review-of-senior-secondary-pathways-into-work-further-education-and-training/">Looking to the Future: Report of the review of senior secondary pathways into work, further education and training</a>, as well as diocesan perspectives into the school’s development of pathways for students and partnerships with external businesses and academic partners.</p> <p dir="ltr">The Leader of Learning Pathways and Partnerships is both a teaching position with a 0.5 time allocation and is responsible for, but not limited by:&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Overseeing and coordinating Vocational Education and Training (VET) subjects, including supporting VET teachers and students, and liaising with the Diocesan Leader of Learning VET</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Seeking and facilitating academic partnerships between students enrolled at school and&nbsp; external academic institutions, and working with relevant Leaders of Learning to do so</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Seek and facilitate workplace partnerships between students enrolled at school and external businesses and other organisations, working with relevant Leaders of Learning to do so</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Facilitating and supporting the identification and transition of students into various post-school options through tailored career guidance; including tertiary organisations, traineeships and apprenticeships</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Facilitating the subject selection processes with the Director of Studies and relevant Wellbeing or Curriculum Leaders of Learning</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Identifying individual student pathways in collaboration with relevant leaders of learning and coaching students through a strengths-based process for making decisions about post-school options.</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Engaging in professional learning that ensures students are provided with up to date information on recruitment trends and employment growth opportunities.</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Coordinating learning events and showcases around pathways, careers and post-school opportunities</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Developing and regularly evaluating strategic, mutually beneficial relationships with tertiary, industry, business, government and other community stakeholders for the purpose of enhancing student learning.&nbsp;</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Ensuring appropriate structures, processes, contractual arrangements and accountability mechanisms to manage and measure the success of partnerships</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Coordinating work experience for students where appropriate.</p> </li> </ul> <p>Applicants will hold, or be willing to undertake a Career Industry Council of Australia (CICA) <a href="https://cica.org.au/course-endorsement/">approved qualification</a> in career development. As in a Graduate Certificate of Education (Career Development)</p> <p>This position involves working with children.
