<p><b>Role Description </b></p><p>St Gregory the Great Catholic School is a community where Gospel values are actively lived and promoted. A postgraduate qualification is highly desirable (or the willingness to undertake further study). </p><p>Year Level/Subject: P-6 ongoing position with this POL 3 (2-year contract) and a possible other POL role attached. </p><p><b>Applicants must be able to: </b></p><ul><li>Demonstrate a commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children. </li><li>Currently holds a Victorian Institute of Teaching Registration. </li><li>Have accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic School. </li><li>Possess the skills and abilities necessary to provide students with a rich and rewarding educational experience and will embrace a collegial, team-based approach to teaching and learning. </li><li>Contribute as a member of the Leadership Team. </li><li>Work effectively with Junior, Middle and Senior teams, and intervention staff. </li><li>Develop teacher skills in effective teaching to the diverse range of learning needs enriching the learning for all students. </li><li>Lead in the use of data to inform teaching. </li><li>Can inspire and encourage teachers and students to instil a love of learning. </li><li>Demonstrate a commitment to and understanding of contemporary learning, teaching, and assessment. </li><li>Drive the learning and teaching using research-based pedagogies. </li><li>Maintain a professional knowledge of contemporary practices. </li><li>Facilitate year-level planning. </li><li>Facilitate professional learning for staff. </li><li>Provide support to classroom teachers at the planning, assessment, and implementation levels. </li><li>Coach and mentor classroom teachers in Mathematics and Literacy. </li><li>Model effective strategies for teachers. </li><li>Assist teachers in monitoring their students to reflect and refine teaching strategies and practices. </li><li>Liaise with other Learning and Teaching Leaders to ensure consistency in planning/learning and teaching/classroom practices. </li><li>Demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills with colleagues, parents, and students. </li><li>Be committed to personal and professional growth. </li><li>Demonstrate a commitment to Restorative Practices. </li></ul><p>The St Gregory the Great community is committed to the safety, wellbeing, and protection of all children in our care. </p><p><br /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p>
