Teachers within the Diocese are responsible to the Principal and shares in the learning and teaching of subject matters to students of the school community. Teachers are responsible for delivering high quality contemporary learning and teaching for the community they serve which is embedded in the Catholic world view. It is a collaborative ministry of witness and service and part of the evangelising mission of the Church.

<p><b>Location: </b>Catherine McAuley - Westmead</p><div class="video"><iframe src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/kEiwmRwZ4Ko" style="max-width:560px; width:100%; height: 315px;" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div><p><strong>Catherine McAuley Westmead</strong>&nbsp;are seeking&nbsp;<strong>Permanent Diversity Coordinator (2pts)</strong>&nbsp;to be accountable for leading the learning at Catherine McAuley Westmead through collaboration, instructional leadership, supporting evidence-based practice and a commitment to their own learning.</p> <p><strong>Role Description&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>The successful applicant will:</p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Support the Principal and Leadership Team in the ministry of leadership, reflecting the mission of the Church by modelling respectful relationships with colleagues, students, families and enterprise partners.</li> <li>Maintain a relational approach to team building through collaboration and critical thinking to deepen each person’s understanding of an inclusive community.</li> <li>Possess high-level communication skills and interpersonal skills including empathy and confidentiality.</li> <li>Undertake and model professional learning as a connected educator in a global world.&nbsp;</li> <li>Lead with an innovative mindset and courageously explore, trial and engage with new approaches to&nbsp; Diversity/Learning Support.</li> <li>Promote a culture where enrolments of students with additional learning needs are welcomed.</li> <li>Honour a professional full-time load made up of teaching, coaching and release/planning.</li> <li>Relevant qualifications and experience.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Functions of the Role.</strong></p> <p>The successful applicant will:</p> <div> <ul> <li style="list-style-type: disc"> <p>lead a team of case managers and Teacher Assistants in their support of diverse learners</p> </li> <li style="list-style-type: disc"> <p>support learners of diverse capabilities, including&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li style="list-style-type: circle"> <p>understanding how to stretch and support all student learners</p> </li> <li style="list-style-type: circle"> <p>preparing personalised learning&nbsp;</p> </li> <li style="list-style-type: circle"> <p>communicating with students' parents/carers and teachers</p> </li> </ul> </li> <li style="list-style-type: disc"> <p>work alongside other teachers to promote learning for all students, including supporting teachers in</p> <ul> <li style="list-style-type: circle"> <p>the classroom environment</p> </li> <li style="list-style-type: circle"> <p>lesson planning</p> </li> <li style="list-style-type: circle"> <p>developing a range of pedagogical practices designed to stretch the learning of all students</p> </li> </ul> </li> <li style="list-style-type: disc"> <p>lead teacher professional learning</p> </li> <li style="list-style-type: disc"> <p>develop and maintain processes to ensure all aspects of diverse learning are annotated, monitored and sustained, including Personalised Plans</p> </li> <li style="list-style-type: disc"> <p>have skills in using the the tools required for a digital learning environment</p> </li> <li style="list-style-type: disc"> <p>work within a collegial team which values educational leadership, initiation&nbsp; and cooperation</p> </li> <li style="list-style-type: disc"> <p>other duties as required by the Principal</p> </li> </ul> </div> <div> <div dir="ltr"> <div dir="ltr"> <div dir="ltr"> <div dir="ltr"> <div dir="ltr"> <div dir="ltr"> <div dir="ltr"> <div dir="ltr">&nbsp;</div> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> <p><strong>The Organisation</strong></p> <p>Catholic Education within the Diocese of Parramatta provides quality learning and teaching in a faith-centred environment in its primary and secondary schools and for early learning and out of school hours care centres in western Sydney.
