We’re looking for a Stile School Manager to work on the front-lines of our team, building strong relationships with the teachers we support in the Brisbane area.

<p>At Stile, we create world-class teaching and learning resources for high school science. Stile equips teachers with everything they need to deliver a relevant, engaging and rigorous education for their students. Our flagship digital product, Stile Classroom, is used in over 800 schools across Australia and supports teachers and students with videos, lesson plans, questions, simulations, activities and more. The new kid on the block, Stile X, is a beautiful collection of hard-copy revision guides that help students learn to study, while they study. In its first year, over 100 schools will have adopted Stile X.</p><p>In everything we do, we aim to help teachers to encourage their students to think critically and make evidence-based decisions for themselves and their community. Have a read of our ‘why’ for more information.</p><p>Over 400,000 students and 8,000 teachers around the country use Stile, and we expect this to more than double in the next few years in line with our international expansion strategy (USA here we come!). That’s quite some reach, and it’s a responsibility we take very seriously.</p><p>That’s why we need your help!</p><p>We’re looking for a <b>Stile School Manager</b> to work on the front-lines of our team, building strong relationships with the teachers we support.</p><p>You’ll be responsible for ensuring our customers are getting the most out of Stile and renewing their subscription each year, and a bunch of them are excited about adding Stile X to their toolkit. We have a work-from-home reimbursement for all new Stilists to get their home set up as comfortable as theirs at Stile HQ.</li></ul><h5>How you’ll spend your time</h5><ul><li><b>Talking, talking, talking. </b>You’re the go-to person for all things Stile! You’ve got your finger on the pulse for all of the schools you’re looking after. You’ll be chatting with teachers in person, by phone and on email. Before long, you’ll build strong relationships with your schools, find out what they need and what their pain points are.</li><li><b>Getting stuff done.</b> We don’t just talk the talk, we walk the walk. There will be lots of action off the back of chatting to schools and you’ll be responsible for making sure these things happen and are a delightful experience every single time. You’ll work closely with the rest of the Stile team to develop and implement awesome ways to engage teachers. You’ll keep immaculate records of all your interactions with schools. We are the voice of teachers and the more we know about schools and teachers, the more we can build a better product to achieve our mission.</li><li><b>Visiting schools and discussing best practice science teaching with like-minded educators.</b> A lot of your time will be spent on the road, visiting schools in Brisbane. You’ll help teachers understand how Stile X, alongside Stile Classroom, is a key component in providing world class science education for every student. You might drop into a staffroom with morning tea or find yourself teaching a class to model best practice teaching with Stile. Ultimately, you’re looking to form strong relationships with teachers and leadership. We don’t want to shy away from the reality that some of this involves “sales”, but we promise; it’s fun and we’ll teach you everything you need to know. You’ll find yourself reading up on the latest negotiation strategies, or learning about the latest trends in education technology. You can also expect to spend time peer-reviewing work with your colleagues, ensuring we’re always delivering the best possible service.</li></ul><h4>A bit more about you</h4><ul><li>It’s not a deal-breaker, but you’re probably a high school science teacher with a few years of experience under your belt.</li><li>You’re knowledgeable about science education and you’re across the latest trends in education technology and pedagogy. Importantly, you share our passion for improving science education in Australia, and genuinely want to help ensure our young people leave school ready to tackle tomorrow’s problems.</li><li>You are likeable and empathetic. A strong communicator that can build positive relationships and really put yourself in someone else’s shoes; understanding their problems and working to help fix them.</li><li>You&#39;re eager to learn. Super eager. You soak up feedback, incorporate it, and are constantly driven to be better.</li><li>You’re proactive and strategic. A hard worker who gets stuff done. When you’re not on the road, you will be working from home - we’ll ensure you are set up with everything you need to be productive.</p><p>Work hours are flexible, but generally fall in line with a typical 9-5 day. Usually your school visits and PD sessions will run before or after school, or anything in between.</p><p>You’ll be regularly driving to schools, so you’ll need your own car (don’t worry, we cover your expenses). Semi-regular travel outside of Brisbane will be required to visit schools or join your colleagues for events and training.</p>
