Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS) continues to be a thriving and growing contemporary educational community with over 150 schools, more than 71,000 students, 10,000 staff and a large alumni community.<br /> <br /> <strong>About the College</strong><br /> <br /> St Vincent&#39;s College will be created by amalgamating three Ashfield Schools - St Vincent&#39;s Catholic Primary School, De La Salle College and Bethlehem College into one co-educational K-12 college, commencing January 2023. As Instructional Leader: RE Curriculum K-6, you will play a key role in this transformation and support the school community through this journey. Built on the foundations of excellence, the priority of the College in 2023 and beyond is a future-focused strategic vision aimed at delivering ambitious educational outcomes for every student.<br /> <br /> The reimagining, redevelopment and rebranding will create a college which forms students who thrive, influence and help create a just and equitable world. The College will deliver flexible approaches at all stages of learning. The proposed model focuses on a comprehensive education, with a particular focus on mathematics, technology, the sciences, entrepreneurial skills, global competencies and a lively Church to the world mission, equipping students to be ethical and optimistic influencers. The model anticipates impactful connections and partnerships with not-for profits, with the corporate sector and with higher education providers. Linking entrepreneurial skills to social service work embodies Ashfield&#39;s Church to the world focus.<br /> <br /> <strong>About You</strong><br /> <br /> The Instructional Leader: RE Curriculum K-6 forms part of the middle leadership team. The position is co-responsible with the Pastor, Principal and other Catholic lay leaders for the evangelising and catechising mission of the Church within an educational context. Reporting to the Dean of Mission, the Instructional Leader plays a vital role in ensuring that the SCS values of empathy, excellence, truth, curiosity and collaboration are drivers for establishing a thriving Catholic community.<br /> <br /> The Instructional Leader: RE Curriculum K-6 is responsible for leading schoolwide excellence in pedagogical, curriculum and assessment practices and supporting the implementation of new pedagogies for learning in their key learning area(s).
