Catholic Education, Diocese of Wagga Wagga (CEDWW) has an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified individual with a background in numeracy and mathematics to join them as the Education Officer - Numeracy commencing January 2023!

<p>Catholic Education, Diocese of Wagga Wagga (CEDWW) assists 29 Catholic Primary and Secondary schools located throughout Regional NSW, to maximise student learning, growth and development.</p><p>CEDWW staff are responsible for providing on-going operational guidance and administrative assistance across the areas of Learning and Teaching, Student Wellbeing and Diverse Learning, Evangelisation and Religious Education, School and System Improvement, Finance and Resources, Information and Communication Technologies and People and Culture services.</p><p>To find out more about the Catholic Education, Diocese of Wagga Wagga, click <a href="https://ww.catholic.edu.au/" rel="nofollow">here</a>.</p><p><b>What we can offer: </b></p><ul><li>Total remuneration package of $125,425 per annum..</li><li>Full - Time position starting January 2023.</li><li>Three (3) year contract with the option for an additional three (3) years subject to ongoing successful Performance Reviews.</li><li>Located at head office in Wagga Wagga&#39;s CBD.</li><li>Access to Salary Packaging (Maxxia is our Salary Packaging Provider).</li><li>Access to our Employee Assistance Program.</li></ul><p><b>Your new role:</b></p><p>The Education Officer - Numeracy will work closely with the Teaching and Learning Team, including the Education Officer - Curriculum K-6 and other members of the Teaching and Learning Team, to provide targeted support to primary schools in the area of Numeracy and Mathematics K-6.</p><p>The Education Officer - Numeracy will work with school leaders, specialist and classroom teachers to improve teacher practice and understanding in pedagogical content knowledge, skills and understanding in Numeracy and Mathematics in order to improve student learning outcomes and achievement for all students attending CEDWW schools.</p><p><b>Qualifications Licences and Competencies </b></p><ul><li>Postgraduate academic qualifications additional to initial teacher training. </li><li>Accreditation for Leadership in a Catholic School (Category C, Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead in Systemic Catholic Schools) or working towards Accreditation. </li><li>Capacity to lead professional learning and development in school and system in Numeracy initiatives. </li><li>Knowledge of the NSW Syllabus K-6 and National Numeracy Learning Progressions</li><li>Current Drivers Licence</li><li>Current Working With Children Check</li><li>Current National Criminal History Check</li></ul><p><b>Skills and Experience </b></p><ul><li>Effective communication, interpersonal, leadership and organisational skills. </li><li>Capacity to lead professional learning and development in school and system in Numeracy initiatives.</li><li>Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. </li><li>Knowledge of the NSW Syllabus K-6 and National Learning Progressions. </li><li>Effective interpersonal and organisational skills. </li><li>Experience as a classroom teacher and/or school leader in either the primary or secondary education sector.</li><li>Capacity to work collaboratively with other professionals in non-school based positions and school communities.</li><li>Experience in the analysis and use of student data to inform improvement initiatives. </li><li>Capacity to communicate effectively through a variety of media and different forms of technology.</li></ul><p><b> What is next?</b><br /></p><p>If you are interested in this position and would like further information, please contact <b>Penny Ludicke</b> on 0400 159 722.</p><p>Applicants should submit a cover letter (outlining why they’re applying, the skills they will bring to the role, and any previous relevant experience) and a copy of their resume via email: <a href="mailto:recruitment&#64;ww.catholic.edu.au." rel="nofollow">recruitment&#64;ww.catholic.edu.au.</a></p><p>Applications close on <b>Sunday, 23 October 2022.</b></p><p><i>&#34;CEDWW is a child related employer and is committed to the safety, wellbeing and protection of all children and young people in our care&#34; </i></p><p><i>CEDWW is an equal opportunity employer.
