Inspired by the legacy of St Maximilian Kolbe, a story of heroism, courage and self-sacrifice, Kolbe Catholic College provides opportunities for students to become the men and women they want to be courageous leaders, academics, life-long learners, musicians, artists, trades people, sports people. </p><p><b>About the role:</b></p><p>The Director of Faith and Community is directly responsible to the Principal in providing positive leadership as the school strives to live out its Mission &amp; Faith. </p><p>The Director shares in the Principal’s responsibility to ensure that the Catholic ethos and life and legacy of St Maximilian Kolbe is nourished within the College. </p><p>The Director of Faith and Community is a member of the College Leadership Team and Ministry Team and, as such, assists and supports the Principal in all aspects of College leadership. <br /></p><p>The Director represents the College on various educational and community bodies.<br /></p><p><b>Your duties will include:</b><br /></p><ul><li>To facilitate the implementation of the formal and informal Religious Education program of the College.</li><li>To support the development of an authentic Catholic School Identity throughout the College</li><li>With the support of the REC, co-ordinate the liturgical life of the College </li><li>Work alongside the REC to coordinate the Religious Education program</li><li>Coordinate the Retreat and Reflection Day programs</li><li>Coordinate Social Justice activities and education </li><li>Assist the Leadership Team with the coordination of Feast Day programs</li><li>Encourage teachers to gain Accreditation to Teach Religious Education</li></ul><p>A detailed list of additional responsibilities can be found in the job description attached.</p><p>This is a full-time position with a 3 year tenure, 2023-2025.<br /></p><p><b>Skills and experience</b><br /></p><p>To be successful in this position you will have the following:</p><ul><li>ability to articulate a clear understanding of and a personal commitment to Catholic education and the mission of the Church through Catholic schools</li><li>highly developed interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to liaise and communicate effectively with people at all levels and from varying backgrounds</li><li>demonstrated capacity to effectively utilise data to optimise organisational and educational outcomes</li><li>sound organisational and administrative skills, including the ability to prepare documentation and data</li><li>an ability to work collaboratively and facilitate dynamic teamwork</li><li>a proven capacity to work independently and effectively in the face of changing priorities, deadlines and pressure</li><li>a commitment to ongoing professional learning</li><li>exemplary teaching skills and practices</li><li>generosity of spirit.</li></ul><p>Please be prepared to attach your response to the Key Selection Criteria questions found in the job description, with your resume and cover letter when submitting your application.</p><p>Applications Close: 9:00am, Monday 17 October 2022</p><p>For more information about Kolbe Catholic College, please go to our website www.kolbecc.catholic.edu.au</p><p>Kolbe Catholic College is committed to the safety, wellbeing and protection of all children in our care, including maintaining compliance with the Child Safety Code of Conduct.</p>
