<p><b>Applicants are required to:</b></p><p></p><ul><li>demonstrate a commitment to Catholic education and an understanding of the leadership role in Catholic education</li></ul><ul><li>demonstrate a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children </li></ul><ul><li>have experience in a formally appointed leadership role within a Catholic primary school (e.g. Principal, Deputy Principal, Religious Education Coordinator, Curriculum Coordinator, Acting Principal) </li></ul><ul><li>have current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) </li></ul><ul><li>have academic qualifications additional to initial teacher education (master’s degree or five-year equivalent) </li></ul><ul><li>have relevant, appropriate and substantial educational experience, including classroom teaching and leadership positions, in a variety of educational settings </li></ul><ul><li>have relevant experience within the last five years in Catholic primary schools, or currently in a role associated with and supporting Catholic primary schools</li></ul><ul><li>be accredited to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school. </li></ul><p></p><p><i>Note: Applicants teaching in Catholic primary schools prior to 1977 are exempt from this last requirement. </i></p><p><br /></p>
