With over 5000 passionate employees located across 83 primary and secondary schools, we have the intent and the resources to transform the learning and unlock the full potential of each of our 40,000 plus students.</p> <p dir="ltr"><strong>About the opportunity:</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">We invite applications from suitably qualified HSIE teachers who have a well developed capacity to take forward the mission of Catholic Schools and to ensure high quality education to maximise learning outcomes for all students. The successful applicant will teach Stage 6 Legal Studies, Modern History, Stage 4 and 5 Geography and History. More specifically you will:</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Structure lessons to meet the physical, social and intellectual development and characteristics of your students;</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Create and maintain a safe, inclusive and challenging learning environment and implement fair and equitable behaviour management plans;</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Maintain records of student achievement;</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Provide an extensive pedagogical knowledge base and understanding of how the identified subject areas are learned, what affects students’ opportunities to learn the subject matter and how the learning and teaching of the subject matter can be enhanced;</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Work creatively and constructively within a range of 'communities' inside and beyond the school and set high, achievable goals for themselves and their students.</p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr"><strong>Qualifications and Accreditation</strong></p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Tertiary Qualification in Education (minimum 4-year degree, or 75% complete);</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Statements of Service;</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Compliance with NSW Child Protection Legislation - Working with Children Check clearance;</p> </li> </ul> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Effective interpersonal skills and collaborative teamwork;</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">High quality classroom teaching skills which enable students with a diverse range of needs to achieve their full potential;</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Sound knowledge of and commitment to our Catholic faith and mission in Catholic education.</p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr"><strong>Interested?</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">Please include copies of academic transcripts and NESA accreditation when submitting your application.&nbsp;</p> <p dir="ltr">This position involves working with children.
