This position exists as a role to support the school in its AIP and in meeting the System agenda.

<p>This position is on the school leadership team.<br /></p><p>We are a Catholic primary school with a commitment to providing quality education and care to the students and families in our community.</p><p>We seek an experienced teacher who will strive to meet the needs of our students in a caring and supportive environment whilst using data to inform planning for student success.</p><p>Applicants must be accredited to teach Religious Education in Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Sydney.</p><p>We welcome applications from primary teachers who:</p><ul><li>Have a knowledge of and commitment to the Mission of the Catholic School.</li><li>Have Religious Education qualifications in accordance with policy.</li><li>Demonstrate a high standard of proficiency, competency and enthusiasm as a classroom teacher and are experienced in catering for students of different abilities and needs.</li><li>Have an ongoing commitment to professional development.</li><li>See themselves as part of a team and value interaction with the whole school community.</li></ul><p>This role encompasses areas such as the coordination of whole school programs and initiatives, data analysis, parent communication and accountabilities in line with SCS policies.</p><p>The successful candidate should possess the following:</p><ul><li>Minimum 5 years teaching experience.</li><li>Postgraduate qualifications in Gifted Education, Graduate Certificate or Masters in Gifted Education.</li><li>Collaboratively lead a gifted/Newman team to develop policies and procedures that align with the SCS Gifted Education Policy and the Gifted Education Standards Framework (GESF) to ensure the effective identification of and provision for gifted students.</li><li>Have excellent skills in collaboration and planning.</li><li>Have experience in leading staff in professional development.</li><li>Highly effective organisational skills with the ability to prioritise commitments and balance workload.</li><li>Competent use of Information Communication Technology and ability to integrate technology into learning.</li><li>Ability to work with staff, students and families within a performance growth culture.</li><li>Ability to plan for and lead change.</li><li>The ability to work collaboratively with the school leadership team, staff and SCS representatives.</li><li>Current Working with Children Check (WWCC).</li></ul><p><b>Desirable</b><br /></p><p>It is desirable that the applicant would have some experience and/or training in mentoring / coaching of colleagues with proven ability to build teacher capacity and accountability.</p><p>Please submit a cover letter stating experience, training and reason for your application, along with your CV.</p><p><b>Position commences 28th January 2023</b></p>
